The waters reflection glinted off every surface of the aquarium, shadows moving from where little fish scurried. Mira glanced up as a huge stingray swam over the glass dome incasing them, next to her she heard a small gasp.
"Woahhhhhh"
Mira looked down to see their maknae wide eyed and jaw open, staring at the sea creature. Her eyes softened as she stared at Zoey lovingly, her mouth tipping up slightly in a small smile.
She looked to the girl next to her and saw Rumi doing the same thing as herself, and she wasn't even subtle about it, she was straight up staring at Zoey.
Mira grinned and reached an arm around the shorter girl to the long purple braid, softly pulling at it.
Rumi quickly turned to her, sheepishly smiling before looking up to see the same thing Zoey was entranced in looking at.
"What type of stingray is that Zoey?"
That's all it took before sending Zoey into a detailed paragraph on the type of stingray and where it lived, her gaze would often flicker to another creature, eyes brightening before returning to the current one she was telling them about.
"-ey have this funny looking face beneath them that I always laugh at, it's so goofy and sil-, why are you guys staring at me?"
Mira and Rumi quickly turned their heads, looking in the complete opposite direction.
"Uh, uhhh-" Mira stuttered, her cheeks stained with a little bit of pink which she hopefully thought wasn't as clear in the dark surrounding as she tried to think of an excuse on the spot.
"The turtles! Ahh yes, I was just about to tell you that I think I saw the turtle exhibit further down, we should head over there now!" Rumi blurted out quickly, saving Mira's stuttering.
"Wait, really?! Let's go then! Kaja Kaja Kaja!" Zoey soft, slightly calloused hands grabbed theirs and pulled them away from the round dome with stingrays.
Thank Rumi for that quick excuse.
Mira glanced over Zoey's yellow bucket hat to send Rumi a silent thank you.
She grinned back at her, turning her head quickly towards the smaller girl that was pulling them both, but not before Mira saw the slight pink that dusted her cheeks as well.
Mira smiled, she lived her girls and she will never stop loving them.
