(3rd person pov)

If Inko Midoriya knew one thing for certain, she'd say that the world can be cruel to people who are different in any way. So when she found out her son was quirkless, she worried, of course, but she also believed that worrying wouldn't help at this moment. She was going to be a rock for her child, so instead of falling into her old habit of stress eating, she decided she would exercise, and support her son as best she could. When the two of them got home from the doctor's office, her husband was there, and when he heard the news, he wore a somber smile and hugged Inko and their son Izuku. Inko walked into her son's room and found him staring at a video of All Might's debut, her son turned to look at her, a smile on his face with pained tears in his eyes, as he spoke.

"Do...do you think I can be a hero like him?" His question broke Inko's heart but she had to stay strong. Holding back her tears, she looked at her son with a soft smile and tried to reassure him that he could indeed be a great hero, but the words felt hollow on her tongue, her son looked at her and smiled genuinely, but that was probably the last time she ever saw her son smile. Over the years her baby boy lost his smile, coming home from school beaten and bruised, it took everything in her to not have her husband level the school. She knew her husband was a villain but that never bothered her, the only thing that did was when he tried to have Izuku join his underground empire. She wanted her boy to make his own way in life, not live a life that was chosen for him.

It's been ten years since her baby found out he was quirkless and while Inko tried to be supportive of his dream, she sometimes wished that he'd give up on that dream and try for something more attainable. She was working another long shift at the hospital, ever since her husband went overseas for "business" she had to keep herself and Izuku stable. She was exhausted, and just wanted to go home but since she was off in ten minutes she could wait, but then the ambulance just had to walk in with another patient, and that meant more work, and less time at home with her son, but she carried on and went to help with the patient, but the person who lay upon the table was her godson Katsuki Bakugou, she immediately went to give him a check up but when she approached him she realized he was awake and kept telling all of the paramedics that he was fine. She stepped in and used her stern voice.

"Katsuki Bakugou, lay down now!" The result was instant, the teen shut his mouth and laid down on the bed shivering in fear.

"Thank you, now explain what happened while I look you over." The boy explained everything that happened, from him leaving school with some classmates, getting attacked by a sludge villain, Izuku attempting to rescue him, and finally All Might saving the day with one punch. Inko worried immediately if her son was ok, but remembered that Katsuki said that All Might had saved both of them, so she let out a breath of relief before she discharged Katsuki. The teen gave her a stiff hug and thanked her before heading home, an action she followed shortly after.

The train ride home was quick, but the walk up the stairs to the apartment felt like it was dragging on forever, but she made it back home. Opening the door she Immediately called out saying she was home, but there was no response, Inko walked up to her son's door and peeked inside, she immediately felt a sense of panic as me noticed that her son was nowhere to be seen, she called the police and said that her son was missing, throughout the night she worried and worried, she even called her husband informing him of what was happening, he sounded tired, concerned and breathless. It wasn't until 9am that she finally heard news about her son.

*knock knock* Inko rushed to the door and nearly ripped the door off its hinges with how hard she opened the door. Standing in front of her was a man in a trench coat and hat, wearing a solemn frown. He identified himself as detective Tsukauchi.

"Mrs. Midoriya, there is no easy way to say this but you're son is dead, we found his body in front of Aldera Middle school, he jumped off the roof. My men found his backpack, shoes, and a letter up there. I am truly sorry for your loss." Inko absorbed the word that the man had said and fell to her knees and for the first time in a long time she let herself cry, then sob and then scream in anger and pain as she realized that her son was gone. Inko didn't even notice the detective place Izuku's belongings in front of her, she didn't even notice when the detective left or when she closed the door and started hugging her son's backpack. After taking a moment she found the letter and read it.

(hours prior)

"Dear mom and dad,

I'm so sorry, I truly am, but I just couldn't take it anymore, the years of being beaten and laughed at, and told that I'd never amount to anything were just too much. I know you didn't believe I could be a hero, but thank you for believing in me. Let Kaachan know that I hope he becomes a great hero like he always planned. I love both of you

, sincerely your son Izuku."

*sigh* "I hope you turn out to be a great hero Kachan, I really do." Izuku said as he placed the note under his boots and walked towards the edge of the building with a tired smile on his face.

"Hopefully I'll be a hero in my next life." And with that Izuku took another step and plummeted to his death.

(Back in the present)

After Inko read the note she read it again and again, then she looked through Izuku's backpack and found his journal. She read the latest entry, "I met All Might and he told me I couldn't be a hero without a quirk. I rushed to save Kaachan from the sludge villain and was saved by All Might, who said I was insane for running into a dangerous situation." Inko felt anger course through her veins as she read the passage that the hero's on scene were waiting for someone with a better quirk, and along come her son with no quirk showing them up, and the called him dumb, idiotic, and insane, she grabbed one of Izuku's action figures of All Might and shattered it with her quirk, after a moment she collapsed on the floor feeling completely drained of everything, she pulled out her phone and called her husband, he answered asking if Izuku was ok, she was silent for a moment until he asked again.

"He's dead Hizashi, he killed himself." The line went quiet for a second before she could hear things being broken and her husband shouting in anger and in pain. After her husband stopped he said he'd have someone pick her up, say that now was not the time to be alone. Inko didn't say anything, and let the call end, a moment later a smokey purple portal opened in her living room. She didn't have the energy to react. She blinked and she was in a new area.

"Inko..." she looked up and saw her husband. Although he was missing the upper half of his face, she could still recognize him. She got up off the floor and embraced the man in a tight hug, they did not speak, just held each other as they cried. Finally she pulled away from the hug, looking at the floor as she spoke up.

"I am going to have Izuku's funeral this weekend, and then when the school year is over I want you to level Aldera to the ground and find all the teachers and students that made my baby's life hell. I don't care what you do to them and I don't want to hear their excuses. Then I want All Might and the other heroes that belittled my son to suffer. I want them to feel pain." Inko raised her head and although All for One had no eyes he knew his wife's eyes were glowing a toxic green.

"I can do it tomorrow and have all of them destroyed, my love." He offered but he was stopped by his wife.

"No, Katsuki still goes there and he was Izuku's best friend, so wait till the school year ends." All for one nodded to his wife as she started trembling in his hands, he wrapped his arm around her once more as she started sobbing.

"Aaaaaaaaaahh, our baby boy is gone, our boy is gone, he's gone, he's.... He's gone." All for one held his wife and he too was grieving but the other part of him was ready to burn the world down out of anger for losing his son.

Inko went back to the apartment and before she could even start packing her things so she could live with Hizashi there was a knock on the door. She opened the door and was greeted by her best friend Mitsuki, Mitsuki's husband Masaru, and Katsuki, the family of three hugged the grieving mother, Inko explained that Hizashi was back and that they were going to move to a different house, because this apartment had too many memories that now felt too painful. The Bakugous offered their addy but Inko refused. Inko looked at Katsuki with a sad smile before she spoke.

"Katsuki, Izuku believed that you'd be the best hero of all time, and I hope that one day you'll be one for him and yourself." The teen looked like he wanted to say something but he stopped himself and he started tearing up before nodding to Inko, he then walked out of the apartment waiting for his parents to join him. After Inko told the three that Izuku's funeral would be this weekend they left, now alone Inko pulled out her phone and called Kurogiri to help her move her things. When the apartment was finally empty she took one last look at the place.

"I swear Izuku, I'll make everyone who wronged you pay." With that she walked through the portal and into her new home.
