Rotten Hive Mind (BSS AU)

1 - Hunger.

Please take note that the HQs now have rooms for each bee there. ^w^ i didn't want them just resting in their hives since the beekeeper (the player) isn't present here. Lol.

The day was a busy time for the hive! Working without the beekeeper is hard, but with Commander, I think they could make some honey. With all the bees buzzing around doing their job, wouldn't you think there would be leaders? Well, Crimson and Cobalt are at the Coconut Field like usual, discussing what to do when their beekeeper comes back. ...I don't think they'll be coming back any time soon.

"You think we should surprise our beekeeper when they get back?" Cobalt asked Crimson, his wings flapping relentlessly from working overtime the other day. Crimson nodded back, standing on the ground, not being able to use her wings due to also being overworked yesterday. The other bees felt bad for being absolutely useless the other day, so they let Crimson and Cobalt take a break for a day and let Commander take over for them. Cobalt set off the ground, flying away from Crimson a bit. "I'll collect some pineapples from the patch, alright? Don't set off anywhere. We still have to plan a little together!!" Cobalt flew away after he finished his sentence, waving to Crimson as he slowly became a blurred figure in her view.

Crimson sat there in the flowers, not moving a single muscle as her eyes blinked slowly. Hungry, starving, waiting... that's when she smelled a treat near one of the coconut trees. It had mushrooms growing on it, nothing much to her. She needed food. She needed something to feed her hunger. It's mushrooms. Isn't that normal? Must've been from Mushroom Field, maybe that's why? No, no- they're brown, perhaps it's a puffshroom.

Whatever, it isn't like she cares, Crimson picked up the treat and bit into it. The taste was bitter and harsh. A sense of relief filled her mind, but that wouldn't last much longer, would it? Cobalt came back with some slices of pineapples he totally didn't steal from exhausted since they were probably sleeping, I mean, their name is Exhausted Bee for a reason.

" CRIMSON!! I'M BACK! "

Cobalt yelled out, making Crimson flinch and turn around, seeing him carry several freshly picked pineapples straight from the patch. Cobalt made his way to Crimson's side and sat down of the flowers with her. "...You sure you didn't already bite into some of those?" Crimson asked him as she stared down at the pineapples with an unsatisfiable hunger growling in her stomach, a voice telling her to spread the rot. She can't do that, not to the one she wanted, not to the one who was by her side through everything. The only thing she could do was wait for him to be gone before acknowledging the voice within her head, patience.

They ate the pineapples together and watched the sun set down and bees slowly start to pack up most of the work below the Coconut Field, it was a good time together, but the rot already started to infect Crimson's mind. Cobalt had to go first, said he needed to go work with Bucko about plans for distribution with the honey for each field. He left Crimson that day. Maybe he should've stayed longer. Maybe it would've been prevented.

Crimson's wings pulsed with a vivid red, starting to flap slowly towards Red HQ. She doesn't mean much harm, for now, but soon, rot will consume it all. She knocked on the door, waiting for one answer before hearing a voice; "Come in!" Must be Riley, of course it is perfect. Crimson stepped in and greeted her fellow red bees with a calm smile. No one suspected it. They should've known. She made her way up the stairs of the Red HQ and to her room. It was big and spacious, little did Crimson know, the spores have already started growing inside.
