Marvel Story - Gabriel Morales
It was a windy day. I was leaving the Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory parking lot after I had finished emptying the recycle bin. I had a million worries on my mind with all the work that piled up and that was when it hit me. No, literally…a giant metal shield hit me. It hit my left shin and I fell.
I got up in pain and then realized then, the Avengers were fighting in the parking lot. Only 2 of them. Spiderman and Captain America. Their enemy was a squid man. He had a giant green squid head and a human body. And he was shooting out green slime everywhere! Gross!
“Hi….umm, what’s going on!” I shouted!
Captain America just yelled “Get out of here janitor!”
Spider Man just continued fighting the squid man.
I took off in my car for the exit gate….but I looked in my rearview mirror and saw the squid man strangle Spiderman and Captain America.
I stopped my car and got out. They both lay there lifeless. I was in shock. My two favorite heroes seemed to be dead. And a giant squid creature man….staring at me. Those death eyes!
Spiderman called out to me “Come here kid…”
He seemed to have an ounce of life left. He opened his hand and showed me a glowing radioactive spider.
“Let this bite you…and you will have powers like me…” He died.
The squid man creature saw this and took off at what seemed to be bullet speed, and I reacted quickly and let the spider bite me. I felt a jolt of electricity. Not sure if I made the right choice but I ran like a crocodile was after me. It quickly reacted. My heart started racing, I could feel my very cells reacting to the very core of my body. I felt stronger, faster, and I was able to climb walls.
I dodged a wave of slime from Squid man. I shot a blue web at him which temporarily stunned him. He was stuck in it and I realized I could use Captain America’s shield. I threw the shield at him and it cracked his skull. It was then when I came close to him and saw the squid face was just a mask. I took the mask off and the face was….Dr. Strange.
I felt like a criminal and stood there confused.
Suddenly, an army of squid man creatures emerged from the parking lot exit gate.
I realized I had a 6pm Cybersecurity class and used my web sling to get out of there. I needed to face that battle another day….
I thought of a name for myself, Captain Spiderman!
