FALLEN ANGEL —
The sky above Eden was always quiet at dawn.
Soft gold spilled across the marble terrace where Taehyung stood, hands resting on the railing, watching the mortal world far below. His wings—white, immaculate, each feather woven with divine glow—moved gently with the breeze. He breathed in the familiar calm.
Saint angels were built for serenity.
Obedience.
Purity.
Distance.
Yet Taehyung had always felt… more.
A strange ache behind the ribs. A restless pull toward something he could never name. But he never questioned it aloud. Questioning was dangerous. Curiosity was the first thread that unravels faith.
Still, the feeling remained.
That morning, when the bells rang through the heavens, Taehyung answered the summons with quiet grace—only to find the Elders gathered around an orb swirling with storm-gray clouds.
“Another soul has fallen,” Elder Seorin announced, worry lining her voice. “A corrupted presence hides in the mortal realm. Locate it. Observe only. Do not interact.”
The words echoed with weight.
Do not interact.
“Who is it?” Taehyung asked, stepping closer to the orb.
The clouds parted.
A young man lay unconscious in the ruins of an abandoned cathedral—dark hair spread across broken stone, black wings limp and soaked with rain. A strange, dangerous beauty clung to him. Even in ruin, he glowed in a way Taehyung could not understand.
“Unknown,” another Elder said. “But he is not to be approached.”
The orb flickered—then locked its image on the stranger’s face.
Taehyung’s heart stuttered.
Those lips. That stillness. That quiet sadness.
Why did he feel it… again?
That inexplicable pull.
“Taehyung,” Elder Seorin warned gently, “remember our laws. Fallen ones are poison. They warp everything they touch.”
He nodded.
He already knew.
But when the meeting ended, and the heavens grew quiet again, Taehyung couldn’t shake it.
That feeling.
That ruin-filled image sinking into his memory like a stone.
Midnight came faster than he realized.
The mortal world’s air was colder than Eden’s; it bit into his skin as soon as he descended. His boots touched broken marble. He looked up at what remained of the cathedral—its roof shattered, its stained glass half melted, as if heaven itself had scorched it.
And there, in the center…
He saw him.
The fallen angel stirred, pained, one wing dragging across the floor.
Black feathers scattered around him like dying stars.
Taehyung’s breath caught.
He shouldn’t be here.
He knew he shouldn’t be here.
But his feet moved first.
And then—
Golden eyes met his.
Not human gold.
Not divine gold.
A dangerous, burning shade… the color of a soul that had tasted both heaven and hell.
The stranger froze.
Taehyung froze.
Silence filled the cavernous ruin between them.
“...Who are you?” the fallen whispered, voice hoarse.
Taehyung felt something heavy slide into place inside him.
“My name is Taehyung,” he said quietly. “And you shouldn’t move. You’re hurt.”
The fallen angel gave a broken laugh.
“Why do you care? Your kind fears mine.”
“I don’t fear you,” Taehyung murmured—and he wasn’t lying.
Another silence.
Finally, the stranger’s gaze softened—barely. “Jungkook.”
Taehyung blinked.
“Jungkook?”
“My name.”
Then Jungkook looked away, as though ashamed to own it.
Something warm spread through Taehyung’s chest.
Jungkook.
A fallen angel with a mortal-soft name.
A forbidden name.
Taehyung knelt beside him, slow and careful, as though Jungkook were a wounded animal that could bolt at any moment.
“You should leave,” Jungkook muttered. “Saint angels don’t stay near me. They never stay.”
But Taehyung didn’t move.
Couldn’t move.
Instead, he reached out—his hand trembling ever so slightly—and brushed a loose black feather from Jungkook’s shoulder.
A mistake.
A rule broken.
A line crossed.
Jungkook inhaled sharply, his entire body freezing.
Not in fear.
But in something almost like hunger.
“Why… why would you touch me?” he whispered, voice cracking.
Taehyung swallowed.
“I don’t know.”
But he did know.
He felt it from the first moment he saw him.
That ache. That pull.
Fate, maybe. Or something crueler.
The world held its breath.
And in that tiny moment—
before destiny twisted,
before love grew wild and dangerous,
before tragedy marked their story—
Taehyung looked into Jungkook’s eyes and felt the entire sky tilt.
He didn’t know this was the beginning of his fall.
And Jungkook…
Jungkook didn’t know this was the beginning of the en
