I forced my key in the keyhole and struggled to turn it, before finally stumbling through the door. Well, that needs to get fixed, I thought to myself. I spent the whole day unpacking, stopping around 9pm. "I need a drink." I took a quick shower and threw on a blue dress that was short in the front and long in the back.
I arrived at Lizzie's towards the end of Samuri's set. They were this band that I had heard on the radio, but never really looked into. They're okay, I guess. By the time I got inside they were offstage. Bummer. I sat down at the bar and ordered a few shots. I looked around the room and that's when I spotted him. A man with a Samurai jacket and sunglasses. His hair was jet black with some hints of blonde. God he was stunning. And looking right at me. OH MY GOD HE"S COMING THIS WAY, ACT COOL.
"Long day?" He asked, a chuckle in his voice as he took a seat next to me and ordered a glass of Whiskey.
"I'll have Scotch. Yeah, just moved here. Texas."
"Oh, shit? Well, welcome to Night City." He raised his glass for a toast. "Cheers, to a new beginning."
"And new friends." I said, clicking my glass to his. His grin widdened.
"And new friends." He downed his drink about as fast as I downed mine. We drank till 3am, talking and joking like we've known each other for years. I found out he was also from Texas,said his name was Johnny.
"You wanna get out of here?" I asked. He nodded enthuesatically. God he's adorable. I called a Delamane and we went back to my place.
