Turtlejou

New Beginning

Turtle was excited to go back to school, despite everything that had just happened. Darkstalker was gone and Kinkajou didn't say yes  but she also didn't say no. Turtle came to School with his mother and following close behind was Anemone. Thanks to Qibli though, Anemone was in better spirits, no longer worried about her soul or Magic. As they headed to school they had to take a few breaks for Auklet, who was still chained to Queen Coral and also learned to fly. When Turtle arrived at school, almost no one was there. Fatespeaker lead Turtle back to his old cave which was still sad and lonely.

"Turtle, did you want to come swimming" Anemone asked poking her head into the cave.

"Um, I'm still unpacking" Turtle said slowly lifting things out of his bag.

"You can do that later" Anemone said, "It's not like someone else will come in"

"Fine" Turtle said, "But can we stop at the prey center first"

"Grab a fish and come" Anemone said.

Turtle walked through the Prey Center and found no fish, but he did find Kinkajou sorting through some fruit.

"Hey" Turtle said walking up to her.

"Oh hey Turtle" Kinkajou replied, yellow rippling through her scales, "When did you get here"

"Just now" Turtle said, "I mean I got here a while ago but I have been unpacking"

"How was your break" Kinkajou asked.

"I did a lot of swimming" Turtle said, "What about you" 

"Well, Moon and I have been babysitting a little. And last night Moon left suspiciously, so I wonder what that was about. Have you seen her recently" Kinkajou said

"Already starting the gossip, and no I haven't" Turtle said. 

"Of course" Kinkajou said, "Gossip is what school is all about"

Turtle wanted to stay and talk with her more but Anemone was waiting, "I have to go" Turtle Blurted and he saw some yellow disappear from her scales, "It's just Anemone is waiting for me" Then he saw some of the yellow get replaced by red. "Are you still mad at her." 

"Yes" Kinkajou said, "When someone messes with your brain you don't just forget.  Anyway" Kinkajou said, I see you tomorrow at class"

Turtle watched as she walked away, not wanted her to leave.

"Are you okay" Anemone said breaking his stare, then she follow his gaze and rolled her eyes.

"What" Turtle said

"That's why you're late" Anemone said, "You've just been staring at her"

"No" Turtle interjected, "I talked to her too."

"Then what did she say" Anemone said with a slightly smug face.

"That's she's mad at you" Turtle said.

"Really" Anemone said with surprise, "That ball of fluff can be angry."

"Do you still want to go swimming" Turtle asked.

"Yes" Anemone said, "This time I'll make sure you don't stare."

"I wasn't staring" Turtle protested as Anemone dragged him away.

In the Morning, something uncanny happened to Kinkajou, she woke up before Moon. Kinkajou slowly crept out of the cave. As she made her way through the school she heard the bell gong. Kinkajou picked up the pace a little and made it to her class first (Which never happened).

"Hey Qibli" Tsunami said when Kinkajou walked in, not looking up from her schedule, "Wow that was fast even for you, oh hey Kinkajou"

"You weren't expecting me" Kinkajou said, "That's so rude"
