Also Emiko was born in South Korea and her name there was HA-RIN
Ha-rin and her mother used to really depend on her father's money, her mother had a job but she was really still stuck in that old mindset that men run the household so she let her father take control. After he died, they almost run out of money kinda quickly, they fell into debt and lots of people were after them. In a hurry, she and her mother ran off to Japan as their only option and changed Ha-rin to Emiko.

HAVING lost her father at an early age, MIZUNO EMIKO and her mother moved in the same neighborhood as RYOHEI ARISU with the little amount of money they had, Emiko met Arisu at six—the two were inseparable by eight and ever since then she stayed at his house pretty often because most of time her mother would work late shifts and forget to pick her up from school. Which meant she was at Arisu's house for most of the time. Due to that, both of them started developing feelings and eventually confessed to each other, surprised that the other also had feelings. In the relationship, Arisu was a complete addict—in terms of video games and the screen.

RYOHEI ARISU lost his mother, just a few years before Emiko broke up with him. He was always gaming even with his mother still alive—just he atleast tried to do something else than gaming. Emiko had enough of him never giving her any sort of attention—even if tiny— possible so she broke up with him. Leaving the neighborhood. It pained herself to do so but she knew it was for the best.

When they both reunited in the borderlands, what did they do with the years of chemistry? Game all day or ghost all day?
