🖤 "She Chose to Live" 🖤
She sat alone, the room was cold,
Where memories cracked and silence told
Of every name that once was near-
Now ghosts who left her drowning here.
The walls knew screams she'd never share,
Of love once warm, now thin as air.
The family gone, like dreams at dawn-
They moved along. She stayed withdrawn.
But then came Jexz, a storm in skin,
With eyes that spoke of truth within.
A week, they said, not nearly long-
But fate can hum a sudden song.
Three times they nearly kissed the grave,
And each time, he chose her to save.
No vows, no lies, no saint disguise-
Just trembling hands and honest eyes.
She sat there weighing life and loss,
A frozen girl nailed to a cross.
But in her chest, a flicker grew-
Could love be real? Could pain undo?
She rose, the dark still at her heel,
But something woke she thought was sealed.
She stepped into the howling night-
And followed him into the light.
