03 • so u think u can stank

Start from the beginning

"What is with all the stank?" The smoke surrounds us before fleeing to the school building.

"After it!" I sprint ahead following the green smoke, I hear Ninja quickly following behind me. Running through the hallways.

"Where do you think you're going." Ninja's taunts were shut down when it escapes to a nearby vent. "Ooh a vent. I wasn't expecting that."

"Great, now what?" I look to Ninja for suggestions. "Maybe the Nomicons will have something."

"Good idea." Crap I left my book in my locker. "I'll see you later, Ninja."

"See ya." We both part ways. Once I'm far away enough, I de-transformed and head to my locker. There wasn't much time as I took the book and hide in the cramped spaceof my locker. Flipping to a random page, I see a picture of a scary looking skull. "Oh... that's creepy."

___

Centuries ago, a great war was waged between good and evil— between the Ninja and the Sorcerer.

Too powerful to destroy, the Ninja summoned a mystical spirit called a Yokai to aid in the dark one's banishment.

He was locked deep underground, his prison sealed with a sacred stone.

In the darkness he waits, wreaking havoc. Possessing the vulnerable, using that which they hold most dear, amassing power from chaos.

Once he gains enough power he will escape, and darkness will reign.

Preventing this is the sacred duty of the Ninja and the Yokai.

___

The legend ends, I try to wrap my head around the information. So the Sorcerer targets vulnerable students, students who got rejected harshly in the audition. My thoughts flashes back to Howard turning down people during it. "Oh nooo."

I slam open my locker and run to the auditorium. "Man, I told those guys not to get too carried away."

Rushing into the auditorium, I see Howard on stage with a group of girl dancers. But I don't really see Randy anywhere.

"I got my eyes all ready to see dancing fish, and then you guys come out. You're not fish, you're not even dancing." Howard talks down to the group, but Morgan— the lead dancer— seems unfazed by his comments.

"Uh, we haven't started yet." The crowd 'Oohs' at her comeback.

"I like you, you're feisty. You know what else you are?" Swinging the baton stick he held, he holds his ear up to the crowd, awaiting their response.

"Off my stage!" The audience collectively shouts and cheers.

The attention boosting his ego, he does a happy dance on stage. The the group he just humiliated stood behind him, sobbing quietly. "Get it together, ladies. Theres no crying in dance." Morgan scolds them, the only one that's unaffected. Honestly tho, you go queen.

Having enough of this, I rush up to the bottom of the stage but Randy beats me to it. "Howard, you have to stop." Him stopping Howard makes me assume that he knows about the stank thing too.

I approach Randy from his side, surprising him. "Howard, don't you think you're taking it too far. Remember when I said not to get too carried away. You're getting carried away, dude!" But he just ignored the both of us.
