Running from my Shadow

Untitled Part 1

Dad is on his way as he just called to finalise it with me, and he is now parking his car in the garage. Opening the door, we hug each other. You look beautiful, just like your mother, Skyla thanks. Sitting in the living room, Shadow flops down with me on the sofa. You look so happy, and your dad is here too. He is about to hear the good news, and cannot wait for you both to catch up. Shoo! Ok, will keep quiet.

Dad, I have something to tell you. Yes, let me know. I am waiting to hear the good news. I have met this young man. Dad, and his name is Paul Bennette, and we are about to get married. We fixed the wedding date for June 7th. Wow, I am absolutely happy for you and sure will be there to give my daughter to this handsome son-in-law of mine. Cannot wait to meet him, Dad. Robert was here just a few seconds away, and he gave me this present today, holding the part of the chain on my neck and showing it to my father. Beautiful, he has good taste, that son of mine. So get yourself ready for the big day on the 7th. June. You bet I will.

I cannot stay long, as the repairman is coming to fix my window too, so I will love and leave you am so happy for you. I will call you soon. As I am on my phone chatting with Paul, I see Shadow's hands moving up and down in the air, which is so disturbing, and I turn the light off. We have this understanding among ourselves, never getting into arguments or fights, which I love about Shadow, you know what I'm talking about.

Chapter 10

Preparing for my wedding day, Paul will be coming over, and his family and friends are all excited. It's Saturday, and it's my off day. I love Saturdays and Sundays.

Paul had just arrived. Skyla's house, while Shadow and I walked to open the door. Shadow, amazed, said Look at him said Shadow, so handsome, love his car, don't you? Yes, sure, thank you, Shadow. But the sun was above, and Shadow got lost in the ground.

As Paul entered the house, he could not keep his hands off his beautiful Skyla. I have my list of friends from both graduation and office friends, too, and don't forget to add your list. Mom, Dad, and my sisters have their friends added, don't forget your dad and the rest of the family and friends too. The list had grown to nearly 200 guests, and he was taking her shopping. She was so excited, Paul came to take her shopping to get all her wedding requisites and all the necessary items.

Dad had just come as he promised, and so Skyla introduced her dad to Paul, who immediately took a great liking to him. Soon, Robert would be here, so Paul and Mr.Smith toasted to each other with a glass of red wine.

I am pleased to meet you, Paul. I have heard a great deal about you. Thank you, sir. The door squeaks open, and Robert steps in, Hi, everyone, and they begin to chat and get to know each other. It seems they just fit in so well.

As Paul and I drove to the big international Mall, looking at all the tuxidos and wedding dresses on display, we just promised not to pick for each other and not even see each other's wedding outfit to keep it a secret. I picked out a beautiful wedding gown, and Paul got what he needed.

We then had lunch out. I went home to drop off my shopping bags and went to Paul's house. I saw Shadow on the front door. I accidentally waved to her, forgettingly. Paul looked at me and said, Is everything alright? I saw you waving to whom? Or just so excited and in another world, I said, Sorry about that. Keeping my silence of embarrassment to myself, I was very quiet for a moment, when Paul began to notice something strange. But he would rather keep it to himself.

I would be at Paul's house for dinner, and Avril came to me, maybe to be a good sister-in-law because she has a crush on Robbie, and was trying to beat around the bush and ask me if Robbie was coming for dinner. Yes, Avril, he is coming, and so is my Dad too. She got so excited and excused herself to change into a decent outfit for dinner. Paul saw the look on his sister's face and immediately knew what was going on, and gave Avril a sweet smile.
