Chapter 5.

Laundry day is something I do not enjoy, mainly when it comes to folding. Shadow: " I'm sorry that I am of no help at all to you; that is the way it is meant to be, follow you around all day long trying to be of assistance, but instead getting in your way at times." But sometimes you get in my way a lot, but don't worry about it, it doesn't hurt me at all. I hate touching things like right now, getting the soap into the washer, sorry, Skyla. "It is fine, just that I do not understand when you get into my personal life, I am embarrassed like getting into the bathroom with you, but as you know, we respect our personal feelings. Skyla, are you going to your brother's house? Why do you ask? Because he is so fond of you, and he is the only one you have. Right? Maybe I will call him after the laundry is done. Did you enjoy the movie with him? Sometimes I'm not in your way, like dark places, like movie halls I do not like. Yes, the moving was great, it was a musical, one band after another, and almost everyone was almost clapping, and shaking in the hall. I too, started to clap and shake in my chair. Sometimes I got so excited that I hit Robert accidently, but he didn't mind it at all; he knew I was having fun. I'm going to get all the clothes out of the dryer, start folding them, and do some fun stuff. There was a knock on the door, and I ran to open it.

To my great surprise, it was Paul, standing with a bouquet, letting Paul in and closing the door. I set the flowers down on the kitchen table, looking for a vase to fit the beautiful flowers.

"Thank you for the beautiful bouquet, Paul." It is a pleasure, hope you like them, Skyla? Setting them on the coffee table, would you like coffee or tea? Coffee please. Paul turned the TV on to the soccer games, and I got the coffee and some English cookies ready on a plate next to him. We sat, and I was sipping on my coffee. Paul turned and watched me in admiration. I began to blush, the coffee got stuck in my throat, and I just started to cough. Suddenly, Paul began patting me on the back, saying Are you okay? Yes, thank you, just got some coffee stuck in my throat. Paul began to move closer to me, his arms around me, drawing me closer to him. I looked at Paul shyly, and he kissed my lips. I felt like the ground almost shook under me, sending a shiver down my spine, and I thought I could fly. He told me that he loved me and if it was ok. Sure, I love you to, Paul. Did you have a good day? Yes, doing some laundry and keeping busy. So, tell me all about your trip to Paris. It turned out fine, my boss gave me a promotion, and how about you? I skipped work today; I was so over tired from my walk on the beach. I have to go to work tomorrow as it is a busy week. I have been a secretary for a steel company for about 5 years. Tell me about yourself. Where is your family? My mother died in an accident when I was little. My father is in London; we do keep in touch, and my only brother, Robert who is bigger than I am. There are only the three of us, Dad, Robert, and. me.

I'm sorry about your mother. I hope someday I will meet your brother, Robert. I think you told me he was coming over on Saturday. We spend a lot of time together; he takes great care of me. I hope we will become good friends and get to know each other. I have my family here, not far from where you stay, just a twenty-minute drive. I hope someday you will come to meet my family, two sisters named after the months, June, 23 years old, and Avril, 20.  years old. Just the five of us, mom and dad, and I'm sure they I would love to love to meet you, I have told them all about you. My dad's birthday is coming up next week; that is a coincidence. We can ask Robert to join us for dinner; it will be lots of fun. Dad will be going on his 75th birthday. He sure is in good shape, healthy, and loves his long walks and exercises, and eats healthy. Sounds like fun sure would love to be there thank you for the invitation, Paul, Welcome.

Shadow, sometimes I am in the conversation with you and Paul, and suddenly I am out of it, but at least it is good that you're sharing all your life with me, Skyla. Hoping you and Paul get acquainted well and that all works out for both of you. Thank you for sharing your life with me. You bet I am the only person in the universe who can hold secrets, and we never get into trouble ever. Think carefully, we don't mess things up as you do. When the bright lights show up, I am there when the light is off I vanish. It is hard to explain, but that is the simple truth, and thanks again, Skyla.
