My Damien

At the back of an old flower shop, two young boys at the age of 12, were watering a pot of flowers with sad faces. Damien, slightly taller than Julian had a dark skin tone, green eyes and white curly hair while Julian though slightly shorter is still tall for his age. Julian has a lighter skin tone , very pretty face , blue eyes and jet black shoulder length hair.

"Are you really going to Leave tomorrow?"Julian asked with a sullen look on his face.

"Unfortunately yes, grand uncle came with my eldest cousin to take me back to the city since my father is dead, and my mother is sick so no matter what I say , they won't let me stay "Damien answered looking tenderly at Julian tending to the flowers.

"Then don't worry, when I grow up a little more and I'm done with school I'll go to xidaya city to work and look for you"Julian smiled which in turn made Damien blush "ok, that's a promise."

"Yes, it's a promise"

"Julian" Julian looked up to see his mother looking at him with a confused expression and realized that he had been lost in his memories again, he looked at his mother and smiled "I was thinking about something mother, do you want me to help you with anything"

"It had been the third time this week , I hope there's nothing wrong, you know you can tell me anything that's bothering you right?"

"Yes I know mother, it really is nothing "

"Are you sure, you've been like this since I decided to move to the big city to open up our business there. Are you thinking about Damien again?"

"You really know me well mother"Julian smiled,"I'm going to see him soon and keep my promise, I want to see how he's doing and catch up on the years we missed. Do you think he'll miss me too?"

"It's been ten years, so I'm not sure about that but I know he'll be happy to see you" Lydia smiled and reached out her hand to pat his hair.

"Mum , I'm not a kid anymore, I told you to stop doing that, you'll ruin my hair" Julian playfully grumbled. lydia turned away and said "help me with the ledgers and the laundry, Mr Sam will be arriving soon arrive to help us with the luggage".

"Be right there" he said, Julian, now twenty two years old, was taller than other Omegas his age, standing at the height of 6'1 with a lean stature, slender waist, shoulder length hair which was held in a man bun, a calm and expressionless face with made people mistake him for a beta because he's slightly shorter than an alpha and taller than an omega.

He exited his room after tidying up his things and went to pack the laundry that has been done by his mother, arranging it orderly with the ledgers. He went to the kitchen after hearing his mother calling out to him.

Though she's already a mother of a twenty two year old, Lydia still looks like she's in her mid thirties. She has a small stature standing at the height of 5'5,waist length black hair, blue eyes. She's a beautiful woman with a curvaceous body , she's also an omega .

She raised Julian alone and whenever Julian asked after his father she always brush it off , so at some point he didn't bother asking anymore though he was curious he didn't want to see his mother sad anymore.

Lydia looked back at her son and said gently "Julian, remember, the city is different from our little town, so you'll meet many alphas, betas and omegas like you so you have to be careful. Make sure you're always with your inhibitors at all times and keep track of your heat cycle to avoid any accidents". Julian nodded indicating he understood.

There existed six genders in total: male and female alphas , male and female betas and male and female omegas. Alphas are the strongest of the genders while omegas are the weakest and they both make up a minority of the population with dominant alpha, and dominant omegas (rare). Betas are just your average joe and they are like normal human beings but they have lower status than alphas but they make up the majority of the population.

Alpha's go through rut, thrice a year while the dominant alphas go through it twice and some once a year. Omegas go through heat four times a year . Alpha and Omega both have pheromones which are attractive to the other genders except betas since they can't perceive or generate pheromones.

An Alpha can mark an Omega to make them theirs, it's the same as marriage but there is no way to unmark an Omega, so once an Omega is marked he can only belong to that alpha forever which is not the same for an alpha, they can mark as many Omegas they want and mate with them. Betas can't mark anyone and can't be marked.

An omega going through heat without an inhibitor or a mate will release massive amount of pheromones that will attract alphas and drive them crazy which will get them raped by multiple alphas. An alpha going through rut without inhibitors too will pounce on anybody whether omega or beta because they'll lose their sense of reasoning.

Omegas, whether male or female has the ability to give birth because they both have a womb.

Julian always made sure he's with his inhibitors whenever going out so he wasn't surprised by his mother's warning, talking about gender, he wonders what Damien's gender will be. He was sure that at least he'll be an alpha since he was always tall and strong for his age

'well he always boast about protecting me when we grow up' Julian thought to himself. The genders always manifest at the age of twelve but Damien was gone before they could manifest, well he'll be able to know soon anyway
