Chapter One

"Alex will you please stand up and read your poem to the class," says Mr. Bruno

with a nice, kind smile. I stand up with my purple floral dress with a cardigan

wrapped around it and turn to face the crowd of other juniors in my school.

  "Music is my wonderful freeing

From all this worlds ruthless  killing.

I float up to the starry galaxy

   With wonderful ecstasy

    Flowing through my veins.

Up to the lord I give the reins,

     Let him hold me up,

     Let them all see,

     The wonderful aberration I am.

With my blonde hair and blue eyes

     I am the picturesque of Cali's Lillie's,

But I am so much more than

The things they assume me to be.

So I stand up and to take a stand.

I take a stand for all the other aberrations,

The ones who need a hand to hold.

I will hold you up so you can see the sun shine

Through your dreams and show you

     How possible they are."

I look up at my class mates and see them staring at me in awe. Apparently, the

little girl with figure in all the wrong places has surprised them yet again.

"thank you, Alexandra that was beautiful." my teacher wipes his eyes and I take

my seat.

RING

Everyone stands up as the bell rings. I reach for my headphones  and turn the

wonderful release from this hole in the wall. I grab my stuff and walk on

towards the door. The Jocks stand in my way with the head jock at the end.i try

to walk past, but they stop me by blocking me into the corner. I take my

headphones out and look at the cocky snobs.

"Can I help you?"

"Actually, yes you could Alexandra. Would you mind going on a date with me?" the

head Jock, Jax, says with his cocky little smile.

"as much as I'd love to," I say my voice thick with sarcasm, "I can't I am very

busy in this race we call life." I shove past him and sigh.
