I had this really foggy dream. I was planting a garden in my mom and dad's house, it was almost noon, the clouds covered the sun to where it felt nice to be outside - instead of being blasted by the heated rays of the star. We managed to open a new space in our backyard after I persuaded my brother into donating the trampoline to a local orphanage. Originally I was going to chop the tree next to the trampoline onto it, ending my brother's tyranny of loud and squeaky jumps that erupt every time I try to study, but then he would just pester my parents into buying a new one, so I went with the second option instead - by playing with his morals.
"Lavinia told me to tell you that you have to get rid of that trampoline, Mo," I said knowing full well I don't know who in the world Lavinia is, thank goodness Milo has a social life, and thank goodness I don't, that way I could eavesdrop on his anytime I want, and before you judge me, I'm just making sure my little brother doesn't merge with the wrong people, nothing wrong with picking up a few names along the way of a suspected girlfriend, right?
"What?!" Milo asked, that's the beauty of talking to a 6 year old, their logic sensors don't typically begin to develop until a few more years. "B-but, why would she ask you!"
"Simple. I'm more responsible." Do I feel bad? A bit. Do I feel good? I'm not going to answer that, this type of youth isn't something I can take advantage of when he gets old enough so I better enjoy it while it lasts.
He was reluctant, and his face was all blushing, but eventually Milo let go of the trampoline, and I swooped in, grasping this new found opportunity like how a vulture grasps its dying prey.
"Oh this is great! Now we have room for a slide, or a pool, or maybe even both!" My mom exclaimed, but I was ready, unfortunately for her I was the bigger bird, and there's literally only room for one in this backyard.
"How about a garden?" I asked innocently.
But then I realized, I don't.. have a family, or a house.. Where did I come from?
And then the sun exploded.

"Your destiny, TRACED IN RUIN." A robed figure cried out, looking at him felt like staring into the void, it's all just dark nothingness, but it felt like something malevolent was staring back at me. His form bent the reality around it like a black hole, vibrating the Earth. My vision blurred and my ears rang, I was in complete pain and lying on the ground, around me the world was traced in ruin. Buildings and homes crumbled in fire and smoke. Ash covered the red sky, and moved through the burning village. The robed figure screamed, laying waste to my already ruined home, "Your persistence, will be what breaks you." He floated in the sky, he waved his hands like dragging a big, invisible sword vertically upwards, cutting through the air with sluggish force. The next second, a gigantic-sized 15 foot claymore that looked as voidful as he was appeared in the air next to him, cutting through the ground in the same motion he took.
I don't even know what he's saying. As I lay there, suffering, paralyzed, and confused, I started to think about what happened if I had chosen to live a normal life. Sitting around and enjoying the rest of my days with my family, arguing over small things like whether the backyard should have a trampoline, or a garden...
Or maybe even both..
And then the sun exploded.

"I will NOT die here." My voice was shaky. I struggled to stand up, the void figure stopped moving as if listening to a command.
"The universe must be reset." They said, the world beneath me cracked, the crimson light in the sky still persisted even after the sun's death. "Must proceed to the next."
"I have walked a TRILLION distances," I pulled out my sword and aimed it at him, "TRAMPLING over ALL the people I swore to protect. All the times they sacrificed THEIR lives for this moment. All the stories that THEY have told are nothing now, not even whispers in this hot, BURNING wind. I will bear everything they represent and usher in a new sunrise at the end of this one. I will not let SOME SOULLESS DOG TEAR IT APART like a worthless chew toy."
"The universe must be reset. Proceed to the next one. █████ ████████ repeated.
