Slowly, I mined through the thick layer of rock, trying to find diamonds. Out of nowhere, I heard a faint scratching in front of me : Someone was mining in front of me ! Scared of a possible attack, I started going in the other direction. Suddenly, I heard a « Wait ! ». I slowly turned, to see myself face to face with a man my age, pale skin, black hair, and eyes. Beautiful purple eyes, with a dangerous light in them. « Oh. Uh. Hi. » I said unsure of if i should run or stay. But something about him made me stay. I couldn't take my eyes off him.
« What's your name ? » he said, his voice calm and soft : « Do you want help ? »
« I-I was just trying to find diamonds...» I mumbled
« I'm seeking for the same thing Saparata, let us mine together »
Every sence of mine was telling me to refuse, that he was dangerous, but I couldn't. So I stared deep down in his amethyst eyes :
« I accept. Let's go. » I said firmly, still staring at him.
In a sudden mouvement he grabbed my hand and dragged me to a cave filled with diamonds ores. We stayed in the same position, holding hands in the cave, until he stummered quickly removing his hand :
« Uh yeay, so you can take them. »
My face was red from embarrasement.
« Let us be friends Saparata, you seem to have commun sence unlike most people on this island. »
« Yes ! » I said way to quickly.
He looked surprised but smiled. Not a cold hypocrit smile, a real, a warm smile.
Was I really falling for a stranger ?
