The First Huntress

The Beginning

A long time ago, there was a young girl whose life would shape history.

The girl was always found crying in the rain with her long brown hair plastered to her face when she was "sad." One day when the girl was crying the people thought she was sad, but she was not sad... she was furious (when she is mad/furious, her eyes turn a golden yellow). She was angry at with the village because the villagers often murmured, "That girl is demon, someone should kill her." Little did they know that they had caught many gods' attention, and two in particular had grown deeply interested.

Two days after the incident, three old hags had come to speak to her. The family she had been staying with had told the old hags that they should leave because the girl was not normal... that the girl was a nobody, but the old hags would not listen. They had decided to stay with the girl's host-family, but she never came home that day. Eventually one of the hags said, "I shall go and look for that pesky little girl" to her two sisters. So, she had left to find the girl but what she saw had made her scream in anger. She saw the girl talking to Artemis, who was in disguise as a 12-year-old girl. The hag had walked up to the two girls but got the cold shoulder from both of the girls.

A day later, the hag hears the girl's name when Artemis asks "So, what is your name, because I do not know what to call you." the girl had smiled and told Artemis her name happily. After hearing the girls name, the old lady had run to her sisters as quickly as she could. Urgently, she told them that the girl's name was Rose. a few hours passed by when all three of the hags had heard Rose's voice coming to the house, they laughed viciously. They had an idea about who her parents were!

Rose had gotten to her house but when she saw the three old hags, she immediately knew who they were... they were the Furies. The furies are evil women. She had run out the door to get away from them, but they had followed her outside. Out of nowhere, it started to downpour, there was lightning and thunder. The rain was coming down in huge waves. Artemis had come to the village again that day to talk to Rose but what she saw stopped her in her tracks. What she saw was the worst storm to ever hit Rhodes... it was like a huge tornado and at the center of it was ROSE!

Artemis had tried to run to Rose as fast as she could, but the Furies had gotten to Rose first. So, when Artemis had finally gotten there, she had heard and saw Rose screaming at the Furies because they said that Rose's father was Kronos. They said that Kronos had killed Rose's mother after Rose was born but did not care that he had a new daughter. The Furies were about to kill Rose when Hades told them to stop. Hades was who had sent the Furies here to watch Rose, though he could see now that they had had other plans. Hades and Artemis had both walked up to Rose and asked her if she knew who they were. Rose with a straight face had said, "You are Hades, the God of the Underworld... among other things and You are Artemis the Goddess of the Moon and Hunt.

A few minutes later, Rose had run up to both god and goddess and hugged them tight. then Rose slapped Hades hard and yelled at him about sending the furies to watch her and not expecting them to try and kill her. Artemis had started to laugh and said, "I know who your real father is, Rose... he is Zeus." Rose was so surprised by what she had just heard that she fell on the ground in the mud. After an hour or more of Rose screaming at the Furies and Hades, they left but not before Hades pressed a kiss to Rose's forehead and said, "See you soon, dear niece."

a couple months later, Artemis and Rose decided to hunt together. Soon, they started getting more girls, who are brave, know how to hunt, are fierce, and are special. Soon, they had The Hunt/Artemis's Huntresses. Rose was obviously Artemis's second in command and her best friend. The Furies learned a valuable lesson to not assume things like who someone is without getting to know the real person. Rose learned to trust friends while also learning that not all people are who they seem.
