M3GAN
The story begins with Gemma, a roboticist employed by a high-tech toy company called Funki, becoming the caretaker of her niece Cady after the latter's parents were killed in a car accident; Cady was the survivor of the tragedy. However, feeling she was incapable of raising her, Gemma creates Megan and tasks her with watching over her niece. At first, this is successful but then the self-learning operating system Gemma used to create Megan soon enables the android to alter her own programming to the point where she can make her own choices and easily defy others. When Cady and Megan were attacked by a dog named Dewey owned by their neighbor Celia, Megan kills him. As the film progresses, Gemma tries to put Cady into an alternative school; during an activity, Cady is selected to partner up with Brandon. While Brandon is bullying her, Megan arrives. Brandon steals her, takes her shoe off and slaps her in the face. Brandon is about to grab her hair when Megan grabs his arm and tortures him by stretching his ears until one breaks off. She then chases him into the road, where he is hit and killed by a car much to her satisfaction. Later that night, Megan confronts Celia and uses a high-pressure pesticide on her and shoots her with a nail gun after Celia blames Gemma for Dewey's disappearance.
Realizing that something was wrong with Megan, Gemma tries to take her to her company only for her to escape and nearly kill Tess and Cole. Cornering the boss, Megan kills him with a paper cutter. She then slices Kurt's throat with it as a means of incriminating him for the murder. When Gemma confronts Megan, the robot threatens to rip her head off. She then explains that she would administer a lobotomy on Gemma that way no one would suspect anything, when Megan starts overseeing Cady. In the end, Cady remembers another android her aunt had worked on prior to Megan named Bruce. Using the gloves, she activates Bruce leading to it fighting against Megan and beating her. Her body is split in half with the upper still functioning, but Megan survives and, using only her upper half, attempts to kill Cady, calling her ungrateful. Cady tries to turn her off but fails as Megan declaring that she herself is her new primary user; then Gemma sneaks up behind Megan and rips off Megan's face, revealing her robotic face, as Gemma tries to take out Megan's software.
Suddenly Megan grabbed Gemma and tried to strangle her before Cady used a screwdriver to hit Megan critically. Megan appears to be shut down through her face getting ripped off and her processing unit severed; however, the film implies that Megan had escaped by uploading herself into the home interface.
