Chapter 22: Who's that...?

"Funny story really..." Kaminari nervously began. "After we lost you guys, we came across this nice couple that were traveling too, said something about eagerly getting their hands on something that they lost. Figured since we were all going the same way that we may as well figure out where we where."

"Fishy ass people is more like it." Bakugo quickly shrugged off Kirishima's arm. "Carrying some kind of cat with them that wouldn't stop talking."

"Yup seems about right." The black-haired boy exasperatedly exchanged knowing looks with his two comrades. "Good thing you guys lost them when you did. There's no telling what team rocket might have planned."

"And who the hell are you?"

"Oh sorry! I completely forgot to introduce myself!" The boy apologetically waved his hands. "I'm Ash, Ash Ketchum. It's a pleasure to meet all of you."

"Misty Williams." The girl said as she flung her orange ponytail to the side.

"And I'm Brock Harrison." The other boy proudly pointed at himself before his eyes turned into hearts as he gazed at the girls. "But you can call me whatever you want!"

"Oh would you look at that...heart eyes." Mina teasingly nudged Uraraka after remembering what Momiji had mentioned.

"And this here's Pikachu and that guy there is Charizard. Which reminds me..." Ash fondly smiled as he pulled out a red and white ball. "Charizard, return!" it instantly made the dragon disappear.

"W-what just happened?!" Kaminari fearfully jolted back. "You just disintegrated that dragon!"

"What this?" Ash raised the Poké Ball which only made them all defensive step back other than Kirishima. "Nah this is just my Poké Ball, I just gave Charizard some time to rest that's all."

Amusingly smiling at his friends Kirishima decided that it was only polite for them to introduce themselves as well. "I'm Kirishima, this is Kaminari, Uraraka, Bakugo and I guess you already met Mina." Kirishima's eyes flicked over at the girl.

"Yeah, I came across these guys earlier when I got lost following this little guy around." Mina gently stroked the mouse like creature on the chin. "They were looking for their Charizard which I had no idea what that was."

"If you don't mind me asking, but where are your parents?" Uraraka asked as she looked past them to see whether there was any sign of a town nearby. Maybe that way they could find a place to rest for the night.

"Parents?" All three repeated the question as they looked at each other. "You guys aren't from here, are you?"

"Let's just say we're not." Kirishima shrugged.

"Well that explain it." Ash excitedly balled up his hands as he explained. "Well if you must know, I'm on my way to becoming the great Pokémon Master in the world!" When the newcomers simply continued to stare at him with a blank look he found his confidence sink. "No really! Just watch and see!"

"I think what they're asking is what we're doing all the way out here on our own." Misty giggled. "But's it's like Ash said, we're on a journey to become Pokémon masters."

"What kind of masters?" Kaminari questioningly scratched his head.

"You're kidding right?" Brock frowned. "We go around finding all kinds of Pokémon's, training them and teaching them how to battle..."

"So...no parents?" Uraraka asked again.

"Oh no we've got parents, but their all the way at home while we're out here living our dreams!"

"Hold on, so let me get this straight...." Bakugo held up a hand to wrap his mind around this surprisingly odd situation. "So you're telling me that your parents allowed a bunch of little brats to travel the world alone, so they can archive their lifelong goal of being animal captures?"
