then suddenly Sieun's voice snapped them out and back to the main focus. "Na Baekjin..." he mumbled. "why does he need Humin? weren't they friends?" he said.

"oh yes best friends" Hyuntak confirmed. "back in middle school Baekjin was always focused on studying, he couldn't even look other kids in the eyes... Baku taught Baekjin how to fight" he said.

A FEW DAYS LATER

"are you sure we should go in there again?" Hyejin asked following after her brother, hands in her pockets, it's not like she really wanted to go but she wouldn't let him walk in the wolf cave alone.

"stay out here if you don't want to come." Sieun simply replied.

she cursed under her breath and simply followed him inside the bowling hall, purple lights illuminating the place as they went down the stairs, a few minions of the union being in the main room, all eyes on them immediately.

"what do you think you're doing?" a minion said.

"where's Na Baekjin?" Sieun coldly asked with no further explanations, Hyejin behind him, eyes locked on the group infront of them, she looked more like a bodyguard like this.

"wait? aren't you two the lunatics who beat Seongje and Chaeyon? wow, we wanted to meet you!" the number 3 and 4 of the union approached them.

"where is baekjin?" Sieun asked again not wanting to waste his time.

"why do you wanna see him?" the number 3 asked.

"we have things to tell him, not to you" Hyejin scoffed, the number 4 stepped up to confront but 3 stopped him, and she didn't even flinch.

"you two really are lunatics" the 3 laughed. "well he is coming soon, just sit around and wait i guess" he said.

She sat down on one of the couches, Sieun next to her as they waited for real even if her patience was running thin like usually, then suddenly number 3's phone rang and he answered.

"yes Baekjin? huh? got it" he said and hung up. "yah guys let's go, some of you stay here to look after the place" he ordered standing up and he looked at the twins. "you two keep waiting" he chuckled and left followed by some other minions.

After what felt like hours of waiting Baekjin finally showed up, now only the twins left in the main hall with him. "I didn't expect you two to reach out to me" he said.

"there is only one thing i don't understand..." Sieun said, calculating. "why does a top student with scholarships get involved with the union? committing crimes to earn money? there must be a reason" he said. "i don't know what it is... but Humin does, doesn't he?"

Baekjin scoffed and looked away. "do you think i'm doing this because Baku knows everything and i'm scared of him talking?" he said looking back at them.

"Baku knows everything about you... so you think of him as your only friend" Hyejin said.

"however... would Baku consider you his friend too?" Sieun continued.

Baekjin sighed, then he took out his phone throwing it on the table infront of the twins, it showed a camera in a room, could see faint movements in it at first, then clearly Hyuntak, Juntae and Hayeon looking around the room showed up, Hyejin's eyes widened and Sieun tensed.

"my people will be there soon" Baekjin started. "you said i had to separate the variables right? but i found a better way... if you remove the variables, it's much faster" he said.

Hyejin was the first to stand up to leave but Baekjin followed suit stepping infront of her, Sieun pulled her back facing the other boy himself.

"last time, Baku left here to go save all of you, can you do the same?" Baekjin said.

then everything happened fast, too fast, Sieun made to grab the pen on the table and stab him but Baekjin predicted it, he pushed his hand away with force making the pen drop, and for the first time Hyejin could see it in her brother's eyes, uncertainty, fear.

"why? are you scared?" Baekjin mocked.

but before anything else could help heavy steps came down the stairs, they all turned recognizing them with their own familiarity, Baku stopped in his track as soon as he landed his eyes on the twins and his heart might've dropped lower.

"what are you doing?" he asked not getting any answer from anyone. "I said what are you doing?!" he yelled stepping towards them, he grabbed the twins one by each arm and pulled them outside like they were kids. "what are you doing here?!" he yelled as soon as they were outside.

"Hyuntak, Juntae and Hayeon are at Daesung Motorcycles, union members are on their way, we need to hurry" Hyejin immediately said.

Baku looked at her and then he put his hands in his hair. "aish shibal!" he yelled with frustration.

"Park Humin" Baekjin called him from the door, Baku turned and stepped up to face him.

"you two should go first" he said to the twins. "i'll be fine so go"

Hyejin was uncertain leaving him with Baekjin, but before she could say anything her brother pulled her away, running out of that place to go and help their friends. As they were running out of breath, Sieun's phone started to ring and he answered.

"Hello?" he said painting, Hyejin crossed the road quickly and stopped to wait for him. "yes that's me" he said and after a while he suddenly stopped in the middle of the streets, she frowned, something was not good. "what?..." he mumbled.

Before anyone he could react a truck pulled up, lights flashing and honking, Sieun was shocked, phone still in hand as he looked at it, it seemed like the time had slowed down.

"Yeon Sieun!" Hyejin yelled and she made a run for it trying to grab her brother, but just when she was a few steps away the truck hit him.
