Moving has become a habit for me and my mom. Ever since dad left us, me and my mom have been moving in different places each and every year. It's because my mom gets different guys each year and they end in tears, which I really hate when that happens. I've never gotten the time to make friends or stay in one school because we move a lot. I don't like it but I guess I've gotten used to it. Today we are moving into Greens Town. I don't know much about this town, but I know that it has great shops, parks and the food there melts in your mouth. I'm introverted so I guess those places I won't be able to visit them because going out in public gives me anxiety. I guess I caused this to happen because I should have practiced going out long time. Ever since dads passing 6 years ago, I've never went out and socialized with anyone. Even going to the mall or just taking a stroll. It's just been me and my phone, the WIFI, food, tv, bed and books. You can just call me boring or just ordinary. Mom doesn't like this habit of mine but I guess she understands that I never got a chance to make any friends. Though, she hopes that this year would be different. I don't know if that could be possible but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

"How are you liking Greens Town air?" (Mom asks)

"It's fine."

"I'm sure you can't wait to see the new house. It's just going to be me and you this time. I'm done with man. I'm exhausted of them playing me." (Sighs)

*You said that last time*(Sureya's thoughts)

"Oh and please make new friends this year please. I really don't like seeing you cooped up in the house the whole year. You need to get some sun and fresh air."

"Aren't I getting fresh air right now or when I'm going to school? And plus, what if I make new friends and then you break the news of us leaving again next year?"

"Besides that, you need to get out more Sureya. I hear you, but I don't think we'll be moving anymore. This place is meant for us; I can feel it."

"You can feel like?"

"Yeah."

"Are you like a shaman or spiritual now?"

"No. I can feel it in my guts." (Laughs)

"Okay." (Laughs)

Sureya's mom plays some music, and they dance to them. After an hour driving, they finally arrive to their new home.

"Is this our new house?"

"Yes. Do you like?"

"I like, but isn't it meant for like a family of 6 at least?"

"I know it's huge for just the two of us, but I thought of buying this big house for maybe if we have family over. We can't squeeze in one room with like 4 or 5 people. No, I don't want to live like that anymore."

"True, true. Well, what are we waiting for, let's get in!"

"Oohh, wait for me! Looks like someone is excited for their new home."(Laughs)

"Mom, you coming!"(Sureya shouts)

"I'm coming, I'm coming!"

The house looked like a castle in a fairytale story. I was so astonished. Mom showed me my room and it was my ideal style. She really did her research. Moms room looked simple to me, but I guess I don't blame her since she's old. She gave me a tour of the house. It even had a hidden library under the kitchen table I think I found my escaping reality place. I swear I felt like I was living my fairytale life. Everything caught my eye. The garden had that relaxing aura and the breezy wind was calm. The flowers looked lively and beautiful. The pool at the back yard was huge. Luckly I'm a pro when it comes to swimming. Don't ask me how since I've always stayed at home. In our previous houses, there were pools there, so mom used to teach me how to swim and also when dad was alive he took his time to teach me some tricks, so I guess swimming was never a problem for me. Oh before I forget, there was also a movie room. I swear mom did some deep searching when it comes to this house. I'm speechless.

"You liking the inside of the house?"

"Like? No.... I love it. The garden is one of favorite places. But the hidden library under the kitchen table is my hearts soulmate."

"I'm glad you love it, Hunny."(Laughs)

"Though mom didn't this house cost you a lot of money?"

"Actually, the truth is, this house was made for us by your father's work. You see your father was very wealthy. We didn't want to tell you because we didn't want you to grow up like those spoilt rich kids who think they can get whatever they want just because they are rich."

"Oh,... so dad's assets where passed onto you?"

"Me and you baby. Your dad created a savings account for you that you don't know about, and kept all your assets there. Now that you are 16, It's time for you to use it, because you're an adult now."

"Wow, I never knew dad was...." (Starts crying)

"Aww baby, don't cry. I'm sure you miss him so much. I do to. I may change man every year, but it doesn't mean that I don't miss your father. I mean he was my first love and we did everything together, so when he passed, it broke me. It took me two years to heal and you know that. But then life had to move on and I felt like you needed a father figure in your life. Not that I don't mind being just us two, I do, but when the heart starts again, you can't resist. But I still keep your dad in my heart, always."

"I know mom, and I get it. I don't want you thinking that I hate you for changing every man each year."(Sniffs)

"Aww baby, no I never thought of that ever. I know you're an understanding child and that's what I love about you. You take after your dad."

Sureya smiles as her mom gives her a warm hug.

It's nighttime now. We are still not finished with our unpacking, but I guess you can't be done in just one day right. Me and mom are having our first dinner in this fairytale palace of ours. We didn't get the time to cook so we order out. After eating we chatted for a while and then we went to bed. The next day came and it was the day before I start my new school. Though that was not in my mind at all. What I had in mind was to enjoy the house to myself. I woke up and went downstairs for some breakfast. As I was about to go the kitchen, I see my mom heading out the door.

"Mom where are you off to this early?"

"Oh, morning Hunny. I'm off to the shops for some groceries and some sanitary stuff. I'll be back as soon as I can so that we can finish unpacking our stuff and spend some quality time together before we face reality again."

"Ok mom. Be safe."

"I will Hunny. Bye."

I'm used to staying at home, but this time it feels different. After breakfast I went to take a shower and wore my comfortable clothes. I went to chill outside the garden as I read a book. I was deep into the book that a ball knocked me out of it and brought me back to reality.

"Sorry, are you okay?"

O.M.G. Who is this guy. His skin is like a God.

"Umm, do you know how to speak?"

Damn, I forgot I zoned out.

"Oh... sorry... Umm... yeah... I'm fine."

Why am I stuttering.

"I'm glad. My name is Mike by the way."

"Nice to meet you Mike, I'm Sureya."

"Sureya, nice name. So are you like new here, because I've never seen you before.?"

"Yeah, we just moved in me and mom."

"Oh, well, welcome into Greens Town."

"Thanks."

"You welcome. I'll leave now. Bye."

What just happened. These feelings that I'm getting, what are they. Okay, I need some water to cool me down. I went to the movie room to watch something that can calm me down. After the movie I heard mom coming back from the shops thank God.

"Oh, I thought you were sleeping. Come and meet one of our neighbors. She and her son came to welcome us."

That guy again. What!

"Hello, so you're the daughter of this gorgeous women. You guys look alike. It's like you guys are sisters."

"Oh, stop it now, I'm way older than her."

"Nice meeting you, mam."

"Oh, you can call me Mrs. Miller."

"Oh, Mrs. Miller."

"Oh, you are such a cutie. Oh, this is my son Mike. Say hello."

"Oh, we've met already."

Rude much.

"Oh really, when?"

"Just a few hours ago. She was seating at the garden reading a book when Zake hit her with a ball. It was a mistake though."

"Oh, are you alright Hunny?"

"I'm okay Mrs. Miller, don't worry about it."

"If you say so. I'll deal with Zake when I get back home."

"No need for that, Mrs. Miller. I'm okay, I swear."

"Oh, you are so generous. Okay Hunny. Well, we just came to welcome y'all. We'll take our leave now."

"Thank you, Mrs. Miller. Oh, and I won't forget about our thing tomorrow."

"Please don't." (Laughs)

I guess mom has made a new friend. I'm happy for her. It's about time. She's always working and never gets time to make friends also. Hhmm, now that I think about it, I guess we are alike.

"So, Mike."

"Mom, please don't start."

"I was just saying."

"Mm mm." (Laughs)

I knew what mom was going to ask. Mike was staring me the entire time. Even when I was looking down, I could feel his eyes on me. Not going to lie, it was creepy. We continued unpacking and we had fun doing so with some music. Afterwards we had dinner. Again, we ate takeaway because we were tired for cooking. Afterwards I went to refresh myself and went to bed. Tomorrow is going to be a mystery. I guess we'll have to find out.
