It had been two weeks since he joined the university, yet he hadn't made a single friend. He would quietly sit in a corner of the class, always scribbling something in his diary — words or silences, even he probably couldn't tell the difference.

"Good morning, class!"
Ms. Faifa entered the classroom with a new student by her side.
"This is our new student, William Jakrapatr."
As soon as he heard William's name, he immediately looked up. A soft smile touched his lips, one he hid gracefully.
"Hello, good morning everyone."
Hearing William's beautiful voice, his lips curved into a smile again. His heart skipped a beat — without reason, without warning.
He shook his head and went back to writing in his diary, pretending as if nothing had happened.

"William, you can choose your seat. And EST... you'll provide him with all the notes."
Hearing Ms. Faifa's voice, he slowly stood up and nodded with a soft, "Yes, sir."
With that, the teacher left the class.

William walked straight to the last row and sat on the empty seat beside EST.

"William, it's better if you don't sit there... we hardly ever hear his voice. Don't forget how to speak yourself!"
Some students burst out laughing at the comment.

It wasn't that people didn't like EST... he was just an introvert. People didn't stay away from him, but they never really came close either. And he never showed interest in getting close to anyone himself.
