Chapter 21: Not Even Close

"She's playing." Deku nervously rubbed his cheek.

"No he's really dead." Hatsume's seriously stared at Deku before continuing to the tracer. "You see this light right here? At first, Power Loader and I thought that this was part of the battery that helped operate it but come to find out it actually reflects the statues of the wearer as well as whether it's still detecting any life force for it to feed off of." She recalled watching it change color ones before but that was it. "If my assumptions are correct then it should remain blue until something drastically interferes-"

"What does red mean?" Deku's eyes remained wide with fear as he shakily pointed to the small device in her hand.

"Oh, that could mean various things such as comatose, death or in some cases even-"

"RED!" they all shouted as they stared at the tracer she casually continued to wave in her hand.

"Huh well what do you know...I was right." She impressively hummed at her own correct assumption.

"HATSUME!"

"Oh right red...yeah well that's not good." She frowned right before it switched back to blue. "See! Alive!" her wide grin didn't even falter when all shocked eyes still turned to her. "Ok so maybe there's still a few minor kinks to work out but at least it's doing something!"

"And on that note, I think it's about time for Hatsume to get some rest." Power Loader said as he walked in, watching as the bags under her eyes got worse. "Well need you in top shape if something happens Hatsume." He added when he saw her about to protest.

"Power Loaders right." Rubbing his temple, Mr. Aizawa decided now would be a good time to rest on the nearby chair while the others let out a deep sigh of relief after the previous scare. "I'll keep first watch in the event anything changes."

"Could it be that Kaminari was in deep sleep maybe?" Hatsune thought out loud, letting her eyes scan all their faces and seeing someone missing. "Hey where's...?"

"Iida passed out not long after it turned red." Deku answered still clutching his chest while Todoroki finished placing Iida on another chair.

"Best we get Recovery Girl down here again." Power Loader yawned as he picked up the phone in the lab.

"She should already be on her way down here when I told her I was coming to see on the progress Hatsume was making. She figured she would be needed." Mr. Aizawa shot the student with an unimpressed look.

"Well some progress is better than no progress at all that's what I always say." She indifferently shrugged before glancing back down at the tracer. Wondering if they would in fact ever get to see any of them again. 'Just hang on a bit longer guys...'

The hot springs...

Timidly peeking her head out of the girl's bathroom Uraraka looked both left then right, making sure the coast was clear. The last thing she wanted to do was run into anyone else while wrapped in a towel like last time. Clinging onto the towel snuggly wrapped around her frame she briskly began walking to where Tohru had mentioned they'd be earlier.

This was truly a beautiful place, one she wished to cherish for as long as they could since she never had the opportunity to do things like this often. Anything she's earned since enrolling at UA and on occasion working for big hero agencies, she still managed to send home despite her parents' arguments against it. So this could be her small opportunity for a nice relaxing bath that she needed after all the stress and mayhem they've been through.

Smiling to herself she was so focused on her destination that right as she turned the corner, she nearly missed colliding with a large wall. A solid wall of abs, pecs and rippling muscles that instantly made her jump. "EEP!
