It was close to being dinner time as I glanced at the clock to my right, it had metal roses attached to it.

After the last two days of victory, Engi gave us gifts to everyone as a memento of winning six rounds. Most of our gifts were out of our personallity, I was surprised that I had roses with blood stains on it. I liked it and it seemed to suit me well.

I decided to go downstairs to help set up the tables with my fellow team mates, not the mercs since their usually busy with important stuff. As I looked around the area I spotted out the apperentance scout girl. She was cooking with the Pyro, maybe he had time after all? Anyways I went to talk to them about dinner and when it will be ready.

"Hudda Hudda Mmph Hu." Pyro mumbled.

"Pyro meant to say it'll be ready in ten minutes." The girl scout says as she sprinkles something in the pot.

"Thank you for the information." I slowly walked away.

I stopped for a second and went back to the counter.

"I know that we've been training and fighting ever since but, what's your name?" I questioned her.

"Really? Well I guess we must've been busy with the reds for a while huh? The names Sarah Batista." Sarah smiles.

"That's a nice name" I replied, "Mine is (your name)." I smiled too.

"Well now that we know each others name, will you deliver this letter next to the fruit bowl to spy? The mercanary one." Sarah requested.

I accepted her "mission" and took the letter upstairs to Spy's room. I didn't want to bother Sarah about the letter if it was a love confession or not, at least I can spend three minutes doing this. I walked to Spy's room and gave it a knock, I heard a grunt and a few words like "why..now?". He had messy hair coming out of his mask holes with stains of something on his suit. But for all I know he seemed tired like everyone at a late night party, the only thing I did was give Spy the letter. He wasn't shocked but seemed curious of what Sarah wroten in it, a few seconds later he gave me a smile and closed the door. I guess it was a sign of thanks?

I went down stairs again to see Sarah and Pyro cooking, but this time Heavy was here with the medic playing chess. I took a few steps to the couch and turned on the television, after doing that I heard someone toss the table. I looked back to see Medic loose his temper as Heavy taunts him for winning the game.

"Thiz time I will beat you Heavy!" The Medic was determined.

"Is baby going to try Heavy?" The Heavy picked up the pieces on the floor with grin of victory.

"Guys you better get ready to clean up that mess, its almost dinner." Sarah yelled in the kitchen.

I turned away from the two and watch the news on the tele. A few minutes has past and Sarah says its time to dig in. I went upstairs to tell the others that it's time to eat their food, the first one to come out was The Soldier or Solly for short. He did the rest of the warnings to our team by yelling and knocking down a few doors to get some of their attention. While we were telling the team about dinner the food was on the table, it made my siliva flow in my mouth.

All of us were having a great time with eating and talking, most of us were done already, the majority of people in front of the tele were around five. I wanted to talk to the engineer about battle plans and what not but he didn't seem like talking about it. So I decided to skip that topic and go for another one instead.

"Hey Engi." I said while putting my plate away.

"Howdy partner." He gave a small wave.

"How many songs so you know?" I asked about his hobby.

"I can't seem to remember the numbers darlin, but I do know a lot." Engi smiles.

"Well, can you play blues?" I washed my dish.

"I sure can do that. Why are you askin (Your name)?" Engi questioned me.

"I wanted to talk to you about something other than the war." I spoke.

"You can talk to me about anything if you wanted." Engi cleans the counters.

"I'm going to fix myself a snack and rest, I'll see you later ."
"I best be going too, Charlie and I have been makin something in the workshop." The engineer left.

I had a warm feeling but I ignored it, hopefully the fellas don't see me like this. I went to my room and looked at the sticky note I haven't read yet. The smiley face could've been from Pyro, but this time I decided to read.

- Hey (your name)! I wanted to say "Good job" and a "thanks" to you earlier but it seems that I couldn't catch up. By the way, thank you for saving me back there! :) -

Who did I save again? Well I guess it was Heavy's assistance since she must've helped me with the level three sentry in the Intel room, or was it Pyro's assistant? I can't remember after respawning a couple of times from the last games but for now I'll sleep. It's nine thirty and we'll be fighting the reds soon.
