Girl naman, why ka naka-smirk ng ganyan? You're scaring me, bitch."
"Thank you po, Miss!" Aunix said before we got out of the room. We go to the in front of the elevator.
"Nang ano?" she asked, busy scrolling.
"Basta chat ka sa GC ng ano—sabihan mo sila ng ano, about sa sinabi ni Miss," I said, hoping she'd get it.
"Nang ano, gurl??? Puro ano lang naririnig ko!" she snapped at me, obviously annoyed.
Tumawa lang ako. "Dumb ass, malamang yung napag-usapan natin nila Miss May about sa Hackathon. Duhh!!!"
"Edi sana yun yung sinabi mo! Hindi yung puro ka d'yan 'ano', bitch!" she said, rolling her eyes. "Maya chat ko sila, bili muna tayo kape."
I just nodded at her and waited for the elevator to open.
After a few minutes, we headed out of the building and made our way to Tomoro—one of the nearest cafés on campus, and my absolute go-to place whenever I needed a caffeine boost or peace of mind.
There's just something comforting about the smell of roasted beans, the soft indie music playing in the background, and the quiet hum of baristas at work.
"Good afternoon po, what's your order po?" bati ni ate cashier with a bright smile, kahit halatang pagod na from the wave of students na nagka-cram sa caffeine fix nila.
"One matcha oat latte, yung large," I said casually, eyes scanning the display of pastries even though I wasn't really hungry. "And isang aren latte, large din."
"That would be 290 po," she replied cheerfully. "Ano po name nila?"
"Syntra," I said, handing over my folded bill from my pocket.
She took it with practiced ease and punched in our order. "Okay po, pa-wait na lang po, tawagin namin name niyo once ready na," she said as she gave me the receipt.
Aunix announced to me still busy with her phone.
"oh ano sabi mo?"
"Sabi ko andito sa tomoro and sunod daw sila. Release daw ng midterms grades ngayon, for sure makiki- usisa na naman iyon sa hrades natin." with what she said I remembered that the midterms grades are now released.
"Go lang" she agreed.
Basta talaga chika mabilis 'tong babae na 'to eh.
"Goo siss, ano yun" sabi niya pa at agad naman nilapag ang cellphone niya.
