Today, I decided to be a responsible adult. That meant no frantic alarm symphony-just one alarm. One solitary beep to yank me out of my dreams and into the bright, demanding world. And, okay, I hit snooze three times, but that's still progress, isn't it?

Dragging myself out of bed felt like a small victory. The sheets clung to me like they knew I'd rather stay, but I resisted. This was adulthood, an endless string of tiny battles, each one more important than it seemed. In the bathroom mirror, I caught a glimpse of my half-asleep face, hair a rebellion of its own. I brushed my teeth before checking my phone-a ritual that felt almost heroic, a small step towards the kind of self-care I used to roll my eyes at.

The world outside my window was already moving, cars and people, lives bustling forward like they knew exactly what they were doing. Me? I'm just trying to keep up. But today, I think I took my first real step. One alarm. Three snoozes. Adulting, one snooze at a time.
