~ It was the first day after summer break. Matthias was grumpy today since he had to wake up earlier. He wasn't ready for school yet, and he wasn't ready to teach those hormonal teenagers again. Summer break wasn't short only for the students, but for the teachers, too. Little did he know, this school year would be different. ~
Matthias's P.O.V
The moment he arrived at school, Miss Dr. Broekmann approached him with a man Matthias didn't recognize. The man was taller than Matthias, and he was wearing a white button-up shirt and blue jeans. Finally, Miss Dr. Broekmann spoke up:
- Morning, Mr. Huisken. How was your summer break?
- Morning to you, too, Ms. Dr. Broekmann. It was good, although it was too short. - He joked.
- That's good to hear. This is one of the new teachers. His name is Soren Stolz. You will be helping him teach geography.
Soren reached out his hand towards Matthias and shook his hand firmly. Matthias then told Soren to wait there before going to the teacher's lounge to get the class book. After he did so, he came back to Soren, and they went to get Matthias's class together. Little did they know it was the beginning of something special.
Soren's P.O.V
In the first few weeks, Soren tried to make a good impression on everyone. Especially on Matthias. He was introduced to every teacher, and they were nice to him. The only exception was Anke Becker. She was one of the older teachers, and she was really mean to everyone, except Ms. Dr. Broekmann. He didn't know if it was because Ms. Dr. Broekmann was the vice-principal, or if she just liked her. Or maybe both? He knew that she was mean to everyone (even to the students) because they unfortunately had a class together.
But he was always happy to teach with Matthias. So much so, that he started to look forward to every class with him. At first, Matthias was grumpy and withdrawn, but as their relation grew, he began to open up. Matthias started to consider him as a friend. After a long day of work, he drove back home, thinking about Matthias.
