Two people. So different,
With one thing the same.
One wanted attention,
The other never did say.
Their friends looked in shock
At the cuts on her arm,
Not realising the other
Was still in harm.
One stood in the group
Surrounded by friends,
Who the other thought
She could never tell.
When the attention was gone,
Along with the fear,
One was just angry
That nobody was near.
The other lay bleeding
With tears down her cheeks.
The new pain stopped the old,
The only comfort she seeks.
