“Oh great, another day at my school! Today we get to see what clans we are in!” I say to myself. I jump out of bed and my long strawberry blonde hair flows behind me. I put on my school uniform and I am out of the door. The walk to school was very beautiful, it had a lot of nature and it also had a lot of sunshine in it too. “Here we are, the academy!” I say happily as I walk into the school. Everyone was here today, the school was packed.
“Oh no! I think the bell is about to ring!” I say as I start to rush to class, I step foot into the classroom and the bell rings a few seconds after I come in.
“Good morning class, today we will be getting our wizard clans. To do so, I will make you read the paper In front of you and you shall get your mark on your face of what clan you are in.” The teacher reads. There are 5 wizard clans. Frost clan, Space clan, warrior clan, serpent clan and the dangerous one to frost clan, shadow clan.
I read the spell on the paper, suddenly I felt a rush inside of my body. My heart is beating fast and I am all sweaty. The teacher looks at all of our marks.
“Good, nobody has shadow clan in here” she says with a sigh or relief. I’m relieved as well.
“Hey Noelle, what mark do I have on my face?” Ziggy asks me, seeming to be excited.
“You have warrior clan” I respond to Ziggy.
“Awe I wanted to be with you!” Ziggy says as she gets sad.
“Why, what wizard clan am I in?” I ask Ziggy curiously as I play with my hair.
“You’re in frost clan!” She says, “That was the one I wanted to be in” Ziggy says.
“I mean, warrior clan is pretty good!” I say “Don’t beat yourself up over your wizard clan. We are all still wizards here!” I respond to Ziggy, attempting to cheer her up a little bit.
“Thank you Noelle, you always know the right thing to say!” Ziggy says to me as she smiles and goes on to hug me.
Me, not knowing how to react to the hug I had just received, I just stand there like a statue meanwhile she is hugging e so hard that I can feel my blood flowing.
The bell rings and class is dismissed, “I’ll see you later, Noelle!” Ziggy says to me happily as she smiles and walks into the hallways with all of her things, ready to go to the next class that she had.
“Bye!” I respond and smile and wave as she walks out of the door
The rest of the school day goes by pretty slowly, the only cool thing that happened was I got my wizard stick. It was a wand that had a beautiful clear glass snowflake on the end of it.
“And that’s all for today guys!” My teacher, Mr. Leonard says as everyone walks out of his classroom and I start to walk home. I get halfway to my house and then I fell a person tapping on my shoulder.
“Gah! Who are you!” I ask the guy standing behind me.
“My name is Kiba, I just came to warn you about something.” He says in a serious tone of voice as his bright blue eyes look right into my soul.
“What is that?” I timidly say, not knowing how to respond to kiba’s words.
“Listen, if the shadow clan sees that you are in frost clan, they will hunt you down, that’s why I am disguised as a space clan. II’m actually in frost clan just like you.” Kiba then says to me as he grabs my shoulder
“Really? But why?” I say, wondering why they hunt frost clan and only frost clan.
Kiba looks at me and sighs “Well, a few years ago, the leaders of frost clan and shadow clan had but heads. They now have a rivalry against each other” Kiba says as he flips his short, fluffy black hair.
“Oh, that all makes sense now” I say in a quiet voice
“Your name is Noelle, right?” Kiba asks me
“Right, that’s me!” I say as I smile at Kiba
“Good to meet you. Will you do me a favor please?” Kiba asks me seeming to be serious
“What is the favor, maybe I’ll consider it” I respond to Kiba
“I need you to stay out of trouble please. I am begging you, just stay safe for me please.” Kiba says “I’ve got to go home now, my mom must be really worried about me” he says as he smiles a little at me
“That was very interesting” I say to myself as I continue to walk home. When I get to my house, the house is empty. My brother isn’t quite home yet. My mom and dad aren’t home either. It is kind of strange when they aren’t here, but it is whatever and I just shrug it off. It’s probably nothing.
Eventually, my brother, Lucian comes home
“Where were you?” I ask him, curious about where he was
“None of your business, worm” Lucian says to me as he storms off into his room. I’m not surprised he is acting like this, he hates me and for no good reason. Eventually, I make myself dinner and I take care of my bed time hygiene so that way I can go to sleep.
“Today was exhausting” I say to myself as I jump into my bed, my hair flows with my every move after I jump into bed. “Mom must be working late again, that’s pretty typical as of recently” I think to myself as I grab the book beside my bed stand and I read it. Eventually I doze off and I have a dream about the upcoming days ahead of me.
