YEON HA-RIN was born deaf. Her world was silent from the moment she was born. She could never hear her own cries, only feel immense sadness from her chest, she could never hear her parents anger, only the violent vibrations that came from it, and she would never know truly how her brother was feeling, only by facial expression did she learn. Her world was silent.
AHN SUHO is loud, well not boisterously loud like a greedy king, or someone with a superiority complex, he's respectfully loud. He likes his silence as much as the next person, that much is evident by the way he keeps to himself most of the time; all alone, curled up at the corner of the class, sleeping away until class is over. It's a mystery as to why he's still at Byuksan after the amount of times he's been seen sleeping at the back. Makes people wonder how smart he is. His world is loud, with a tint of silence whenever he can get it.
THE GIRL WHOSE world is quiet and the boy who wishes for some peace, collide unexpectedly when he challenges her to the next first spot; the one her and her brother usually tie between, and sometimes alternate. He went on and on about being smart enough to overtake them and she could barely make out some of his words, he spoke a little gently, enough for her to lip read but there were some words she couldn't quite make out.
AND THEN ONE day, Yeon Ha-Rin sees Ahn Suho as Number 1, and he smiles at her; that's when she knew that life was never going to be the same because she could hear one thing. The loud thumping of her heart.
