Black screen.

Then, static. Then:

Click.

A camcorder comes to life. The lens is fogged. It’s shaking. There’s a low, cursed, zooming eeeeeeeehhhhrkk noise. Light explodes across the frame as the curtains are pulled open.

Louis’ voice, whispering like a preschool teacher trying not to wake the baby:

> “...Documentary time.”

Frame 1: Louis.
Wearing a full clown costume, rainbow suspenders, giant shoes, an aggressively red nose. He’s sitting on a desk, half-eaten banana in one hand, camcorder in the other, squinting into it like a raccoon who’s just discovered fire. There’s a banana sticker stuck to his forehead.

> “Welcome to—The First Scene of the Rest of Our Lives.”

He zooms in violently on his own eye. It fogs the screen. Then he pulls back to reveal the true crime scene of the morning:

The hotel suite.

Absolute disaster. Picture a toddler daycare that got looted.

Suitcases exploded across the floor.

One Direction merch everywhere — not theirs. Someone’s stolen their own merch.

Pillows on the microwave.

Banana peels on a laptop.

A hairbrush in the mini-fridge.

Someone’s sock on a lamp.

A half-eaten chicken nugget next to a hair straightener.

Louis pans the camera in sloooow motion, narrating in fake documentary voice:

> “In the wild, the early-morning boyband is a fragile, unconscious species... Look, here we see one in its natural habitat—face down, near a pile of Raisin Bran.”

Cut to: Harry.

Fully sprawled across two armchairs like a dead Victorian poet. Wrapped in a pink towel. One sock on. Mouth open. Hair shaped like a gothic cathedral.

> Louis (softly, zooming in): “This one’s called a Harold. You must never wake him.”

Cut to: Liam.

Asleep in a hallway. Entirely upright. In a hotel robe. Holding a mug of tea that is now cold. He looks like he powered down mid-sentence.

> Louis: “He crashed during buffering.”

Cut to: Zayn.

Face down on a yoga mat. Shirtless. Wearing a fedora. Someone wrote “ZORP” in sharpie on his back.

> Louis: “We don’t question the Zorp.”

Cut to: Niall.

Not in bed. Not on the floor. He’s in the closet. With a box of cereal. He’s asleep with one hand in the bag of cornflakes. Like he passed out mid-crunch.

> Louis: “The Irish one is nesting.”

Then, silence.

Suddenly, the frame jerks — the camera flips back around to Louis, who now has banana smeared across his mouth like lipstick, and is wearing Zayn’s fedora on top of his clown wig.
