Tiffany awoke to the sound of birds chirping and cars rushing by. She stretched and greeted the day with a smile. "Today is the day. I'm going to make a good impression on everyone at school today! Hwaiting!!" Tiffany thought to herself.
The sun was shining brightly as Tiffany walked to school. There was a nice spring breeze that ruffled Tiffany's hair. She breathed in deeply to calm herself as she neared the school gates. Being 16, Tiffany knew that teenagers could be a harsh crowd to win over.
The school came into view and Tiffany drew in a sharp breath. The school was huge! The school gates were made of shiny iron and the school crest had been carved into the granite steps. Lush trees encircled the courtyard and students milled around talking to their friends.
As she entered the gates, the bell rung loudly. Students rushed inside to get to their homerooms. Just then two boys ran past Tiffany, knocking her over. Without a second glance, the boys hurried on not wanting to be tardy. That bump made Tiffany lose her balance and as she fell, she landed in someones arms.
