seungmin swung his legs over the edge of the bench, looking out at the city below. He let out a small chuckle, tilting his head toward Minho

"You know" he said softly "this kinda feels like a date"

Minho turned to him, startled "a… date?"

Seungmin nodded, smiling "Yeah. You brought me to a special place, told me your secrets, and now we’re spending time together. That’s what a date is, right?"

Minho huffed, rolling his eyes "Idiot" But the corners of his lips curled up slightly

Seungmin grinned "So? How’s our first date going?"

Minho scoffed "Terrible. My date keeps talking about dying"

Seungmin giggled "Okay, okay, no more death talk. Just us. Just now"

Minho sighed, leaning back on the bench "Fine. What do people do on dates?"

Seungmin hummed, tapping his chin "Eat ice cream. Walk around. Talk. Take cute pictures—"

Before he could finish, Minho suddenly pulled out his phone

Seungmin blinked "Did you just—"

Minho smirked, showing him the picture. It was of Seungmin, mid-sentence, eyes wide in surprise, lips slightly parted. The wind had made his hair a mess, but somehow, he still looked… beautiful

Seungmin’s cheeks flushed "Delete that"

"Nope" Minho grinned "It’s our first date memory"

Seungmin pouted "You’re so annoying"

Minho chuckled, standing up and stretching "Come on. There’s one more place I want to take you"

They walked in silence, the air thick with unspoken words. Soon, they arrived at an old cemetery, hidden behind tall trees. It wasn’t eerie—it was peaceful. Flowers bloomed in between the graves, the scent of fresh earth and petals filling the air

(today I learn a new word - eerie [my teacher said , so I use it])

Minho stopped in front of a gravestone "Min Jiyeon" it read.

Seungmin knelt down, running his fingers over the carved name "Hello, Jiyeon" he whispered.

Minho swallowed, watching him

Seungmin smiled softly "You must’ve been really special for Minho to bring me here" He paused, then whispered "I think I’ll be joining you soon"

Minho’s chest tightened

Seungmin looked up at him, eyes gentle "When I die… put me under a beautiful tree"

Minho inhaled sharply

Seungmin smiled, looking up at the sky "I’ll welcome everyone with flower rain"

Minho clenched his fists "Seungmin—"

Seungmin turned to him, his smile never fading "I’ll be okay, Minho. I promise"

Minho bit his lip, looking away. His heart ached in a way he couldn’t describe

For the first time, he realized—he wasn’t ready to lose Seungmin

Not now. Not ever

Minho's pov

He smiled at the flowers

I nodded. I lied
Because the truth is… they were blooming to say goodbye

He looked at me with those soft eyes and said

When I die… put me under a beautiful tree"

I wanted to scream
No
Don’t say that. Don’t go. Don’t leave me.

But I just smiled
Because how do you break someone who’s already breaking?

I took his picture that day
I didn’t tell him… but I knew it might be the last time the sunlight touched him that softly
And I wanted to remember him like this
Not in a hospital bed
Not in pain
Just Seungmin. Smiling. Alive.

 Alive
