MY DRAGON LOVER

Part 1

'Kathy get back to work or you are going to get fired' echoed as the loud sound of a banged door followed. Kathy bowed her head as fellow employees turned to look at her after Mrs. Shannon left.

Hey...are you okay Kathy? a voice spoke from the conner of Kathy's desk. She wiped her face as she looked to see the person talking, yeah yeah I'm fine, she smiled as she buried her face in her computer. The rest of the day was a blur as Kathy avoided conversations with people as much as possible. 

Finally, it was closing hours, and she was the first person to leave the office that day. She hurriedly left the building and took the first bus back to her apartment she shared with her friends.

Hey bestie, how was work? her friend Charmy asked, as she step into the apartment while Charmy was so focused on the television, she didn't look at her face. I don't want to talk about it, Kathy snapped and proceeded to the kitchen, which was so messy with dirty dishes everywhere and stains all over the floor, there was even a half-eaten sandwich on the dining table. Charmy, what is with all these mess in the kitchen. Kathy fumed. Hey, don't get mad at me, it was the boys that destroyed the kitchen before they left, something about making the perfect sandwich. Charmy said as she finally got up to look at Kathy, in her dirty looking pjs and saw the look on Kathy's face. Yo what's wrong with you, you're never this upset. she said as she walked across the room to the kitchen and tucked a strand of hair behind Kathy's ear and clearly saw the look on Kathy's face. It's my stupid boss Shannon; she won't look at my ideas. she called them stupid and irrelevant. Kathy panted as she spoke. Charmy said nothing and wrapped her hands around her.

I'm just doing my best to help solve the problem of these beasts running loose, this requires more archeologic research and everything, half of the team is already gone because no one wants to get involved with all the monsters and their killings, meanwhile the people available Mrs. Shannon won't listen to their suggestions, she just wants to do everything her way, but her WAY isn't working, why can't she just open her eyes and see that my plan to investigate the temple will be very helpful for us to understand these creatures. Kathy finally calmed down and let out a deep breath before looking at Charmy who hasn't said a word since but held her in silence. Kathy as your best friend I'll tell you truth. Charmy finally said as she looked up at the already calmed Kathy who was eager for a response. You can't convince a group of scared people to go to the temple where the exact same thing they're afraid of is, plus i thought you quit that job anyways, the government said they will sustain every citizen because of the monsters. Charmy said. I know I know........ it's just that archeology is my only passion in this world, and I just can't stop doing it.......Kathy's eyes saddens for a moment then an idea struck her, what if you guys be my group, and we explore the cave together. At that moment the doors flung open and three young men walked in. special delivery girls, the young men screamed as Kathy rushed to hug them, but Charmy just stood there with worry all over her face. Her face was pointing towards the floor as unpleasant memories filled her head. screams and loud voices filled her head as her eyes went wide as she bent to her knees. 

Hey guys, welcome home you three. Kathy smiled at them. But one pushed her aside and said, yo Kathy what's wrong with Charmy. huh? Kathy said as she turned around to see Charmy staring intensely at the floor. hey Charmy? you, okay? Kathy asked. we are not going to that temple Kathy! Charmy screamed with hints of tears in her eyes. wait what temple? one of the boys asked. the one where those beasts came from Charlie, Charmy looked at him and sobbed intensely. Jasper her boyfriend immediately ran to her and hugged her with his green apron as he carried her away to another room. don't worry guys I got her. he said as he walked away with Charmy in his arms.

The remaining two boys stared at Kathy surprised and then Jacob broke the silence. Kathy what makes you want to go to the den where the monsters that killed our family came from. but Jacob we need to know how these creatures came to our world so when stop then or better send them back to where they came, we can't continue to leave in fear forever. she insisted, that's what the government is going, don't you watch the news. Jacob said. yes, but everyone they sent has either died or come back with a piece of their bodies missing. Kathy protested. so, you think that if you enter it will be different? Charlie snarled and left. she turned to him and said, that's why we need to investigate. Charlie just stopped for a second and without turning back he continued walking towards a different direction.
