I was in to much shock. That night my brother died. The night I killed him. I was trying to get out of the car while he was still driving. Just because I wanted to go back to someone who was going to hurt me again. Bode was just trying to get me back into the car. Then I can't remember.
But that night when I got home I saw my mom crying. My dad crying. Uncle Luke trying not to cry. And then I just left. Not looking back. I killed my brother. I killed him. It should have been me. I should have been the one to die. But I didn't. I'm going to live, not for me but for Bode. It would have been what he would have wanted.
Someday I'll come back to Edgewater. For Bode. For me.
