"Mee, I have something to show you," Abe said with a mysterious glint in his eye.
Mee raised an eyebrow. "What is it? And why on earth are you wearing a beanie? It’s scorching hot today."
Abe chuckled, smirking. "It’s a secret. I can’t show you out here—come to the room."
Mee sighed but nodded. "Alright, let me tell my mom first." He called out, "Mom, I’m closing the door for a bit. If you need anything, just holler."
"Okay, sweetheart," his mother replied warmly.
Inside Mee’s room, Abe couldn’t hide his grin. “There are three things. First—go stand by the window and close your eyes. Your gift is waiting."
Mee chuckled. "Fine, but don’t make me wait too long. I’m excited! Can I open them now?"
"Go ahead," Abe said, anticipation lacing his voice.
Mee opened his eyes—and gasped. "No way! You actually bought this for me? This is the one I showed you just the other day! I never thought you'd actually get it—thank you, Abe! You’re the best!" Without hesitation, Mee threw his arms around him in a tight hug.
Abe laughed softly. "You always light up when you like something. Making you happy is all I need."
Mee stepped back slightly. "You really don’t have to keep buying me things, you know. It means a lot, but just being with you is enough."
Abe smirked again. "Then how about surprise number two?"
Mee raised an eyebrow. "You’re full of surprises today… what is it?"
With a slow, teasing motion, Abe pulled off his beanie. "Guess what color I dyed my hair?"
Mee’s eyes went wide. "No way… You dyed it purple? My favorite color?! Abe, you look incredible! Seriously, it suits you so well. But… why my favorite color?"
Abe took a deep breath. "Mee… there's something else I need to tell you."
Mee's excitement faded into gentle curiosity. "What is it?"
Abe’s voice trembled slightly. "Please, just listen, okay? You don’t have to say anything, but I have to tell you now or I never will." He exhaled shakily. "Mee… I like you. No, I love you. I don’t even know how much—I just do. I’ve had these feelings for so long, and everything I do for you… it’s because I care. I don’t know if you feel the same, or if you like someone else—"
Tears filled his eyes, but before he could finish, Mee pulled him into a comforting hug.
"Oyi, don’t cry. Please… look at me, Abe." He gently lifted Abe's chin. "I… I love you too. I’ve always loved you. I was just too scared to say it. I thought you saw me as a little brother, and I didn’t want to lose what we had. But I love you, Abe. Truly."
Abe stared in disbelief, then broke into a teary, joyous smile.
His voice was low, thick with emotion. "There’s one more surprise—one last secret I’ve been keeping just for this moment."
Mee, still caught in the warmth of their embrace, nodded. "Another one? What is it?"
"Close your eyes," Abe said softly.
Mee obeyed, his heart pounding as Abe guided him gently by the hand. Abe rolled up his sleeve and whispered, "Now open."
Mee blinked and gasped again. A fresh tattoo adorned Abe’s bicep—an intricate design of swirling lines and symbols that pulsed with quiet meaning.
"Abe… it’s beautiful. Is this for me?"
Abe smiled tenderly. "Every part of it. Every line is a promise. A part of me… for you. Forever."
Mee traced the tattoo with his fingertips, their silence filled with understanding, affection, and vulnerability. In that moment, no words were needed.
Abe leaned in closer. "I wanted tonight to show not just how much I love you—but how serious I am about you."
Then, with a soft whisper, he asked, “Can I kiss you?”
Mee, his cheeks flushed and heart racing, nodded.
Their kiss began softly—explorative, tender, like the gentle unfolding of a secret. As Abe’s lips met Mee’s, the world melted away. The kiss deepened, hands roaming with increasing longing. Abe guided Mee gently into his lap, lips traveling from Mee’s neck to his mouth again, leaving trails of warmth.
When Mee trembled slightly, Abe paused. “Is this okay?”
Mee whispered, “I’m fine,” and their lips met once more.
Abe moved slowly, deliberately, laying Mee down on the bed. He unbuttoned his shirt, then helped Mee out of his, their bare skin meeting for the first time with electric intensity. Every touch, every caress was filled with unspoken promises and deep desire.
Mee’s voice came out in a nervous murmur, “Whatever happens now… let’s make it quick.”
But Abe’s gaze darkened, and instead, he kissed him deeply—no rush, just passion.
Their bodies intertwined with tenderness and urgency. The room echoed with quiet moans, the rhythm of their passion growing as they surrendered to each other fully. In those shared moments, time blurred. Words dissolved into touches, and touches became a language of love.
When it was over, they lay in silence, tangled in each other’s arms, skin against skin, hearts beating in sync. The room, dim and quiet, held their secret like a tender lullaby.
Outside, Mee’s mother passed by his room, thinking her son was asleep, unaware of the love blooming just beyond the door. Within that room, wrapped in each other's warmth, Abe and Mee found a kind of peace only love can bring—pure, intimate, and quietly eternal.
