Chapter 20: To The Hot Springs We go!

Heck after all this time she herself was beginning to feel frustrated with one Kirishima who had yet to make a move on her too, so she was so tempted to just tell Uraraka the truth about Bakugo so that way at least her friend could be happy. No wonder Bakugo and Kirishima were friends since they both seemed to share one brain at times. "Ochaco?"

"Maybe..." she mumbled allowing herself to sit up and place her chin on her knee. "It's just...I've been having a hard time getting a read on him."

"On Bakugo?" Scoffing Mina gave her a pointed look that said no one could ever nor would ever dare try to get a peek inside Bakugo's head-other than maybe Uraraka and Midoriya but let's face it, even the green haired boy had a whole few notebooks filled out about each and every one of them. But that was a topic for another time she supposed.

Not to mention that she recalled that during their first year how she caught the tail end of Bakugo's and Uraraka's conversation when the shy girl managed to put the angry Pomeranian in his place-much to her own surprise. But what intrigued Mina more was that Bakugo didn't even try and retaliate, which only seemed to fuel the pink girl's curiosity at the two.

"I mean I don't get it." Uraraka's puzzled frown deepened. "When we started off our first year there always seemed to be this silent mutual respected between he and I, but then I don't know....it just seemed that during the years he just seemed to go out of his way to pick on me and his hostility towards me just seemed to get worse somehow."

"I don't think hostility is the right word you're looking for babe." Mina desperately tried to suppress a laugh at the odd tactics Bakugo unknowingly decided to show towards the gravity girl but hey, what else would you expect from someone who probably didn't do well when it came to romance.

"Why not? What else would you use?" Uraraka curiously blinked at Mina before dismissively shaking her head. "I thought we were going to be friends...and that maybe just move pass all that you know."

"And Bakugo said he wanted to be friends?" Mina carefully wanted to make sure she was hearing this right.

"He was the one that brought it up when we were at the Star Festival." Uraraka replied. "But now I'm not so sure anymore since he won't even talk to me after what happened with Kyo, and I don't know why."

'Oh, Bakugo you dummy...' Mina defeatedly sighs, knowing that it would take more than just mentally trying to slap that boy to finally make him snap out of it. "Look 'Chako..." she started. "Bakugo's a big boy-at least I hope he is- so let him put on his big boy pants and eventually he'll come around. I on the other hand have made it my mission that while we're here we need to enjoy our time on vacation and away from villains, demons, Ghouls and whatever else faith seemed to want to throw at us since it obviously doesn't like us."

Laughing Uraraka was grateful to have someone like Mina Ashido in her life that could always make her want to laugh and try and enjoy herself.

"I guess a little vacation wouldn't hurt."

"Yeah? Tell that to our angry boy." Mina playfully wiggled her brows as she watched Uraraka slowly get her feet. "Hey Ochaco?"

"Hmm?"

"Call me curious but...do you see Bakugo as a friend?"

"Of course." She squinted her eyes smiling before quizzically glancing back at her. "At least I thought we could be, why?"

"Nothing else?"

Thinking it over, Uraraka knew what her answer should be but instead found herself unable to answer. Wasn't that what she had wanted all along? To be friends?

"Ochaco.... have you ever wondered why he was in detention in the first place?"

"I have." Uraraka confessed, wondering exactly that same thing when she found him still sitting in the classroom with Kaminari and Mina that day, but never had the chance to ask until now. "But now that you mention it, why was he there?"
