Part of the Script -Jhoanna

Start from the beginning

Jhoanna rolled her eyes before grabbing him and pulling him into her lap.

No more screen time for now. But we can read a story instead. -She said

Jace stopped crying instantly.

Hmm... -He thought for a moment, then nodded.

Okay. But only if it's about dinosaurs. -He mumbled

Jhoanna grinned, kissing his forehead.

Deal. -She replied

And just like that, the screen time war ended.

For now.

---

It was another day at daycare, and this time, Jhoanna was extra prepared.

Okay, anak, -She said as she adjusted Jace's tiny backpack.

If someone steals your toy, what do you say? -She asked

Jace frowned, thinking hard.

I say... that's mine, give it back, or my Mommy Jho will fight you? -He threatened

You choked on your coffee.

JACE! -You screamed

Jhoanna grinned proudly.

Good job, baby! -Jhoanna said

Jho! -You nudged her.

We are not teaching him to threaten kids! -You said

Jhoanna shrugged.

It's not a threat. It's a warning. -She replied

You sighed before crouching down to Jace's level.

Baby, just tell the teacher if someone takes your things, okay? -You said

Jace nodded, but you had a strong feeling he was still going to use Jhoanna's line.

Once you arrived at the daycare, Jace seemed excited. He was already waving at some of the kids, and you smiled, feeling relieved.

See? He's adjusting so well, -You whispered to Jhoanna.

She sighed dramatically.

Yeah, yeah... I still feel abandoned, though. -She said

You rolled your eyes and kissed her cheek.

Come on, drama queen. Let's go before we— -You said

Then—

MOMMYYYYY!!! -Jace screamed

You turned just in time to see Jace running back to you, tears spilling from his big eyes.

Your heart dropped.

Baby, what's wrong?! -You asked

Jace threw himself into your arms, sobbing.

I don't wanna stay! -He said

Jhoanna immediately panicked.

What happened?! Who hurt you?! Give me names!!! -She asked

The teacher quickly stepped forward.

Oh! Jace was fine earlier, but I think he just realized you were leaving... -The teacher said

You and Jhoanna exchanged looks.

Separation anxiety.

You sighed, rubbing Jace's back.
