Her personas are more imbalanced basically!!! That's the word I was looking for.
Also it's crazy bc I was looking thru older chapters where I talked abt these OCs and Parasol has changed a lot personality-wise I think. When I first introed her she was like uh....🤨🤨🤨 she didn't have that socialite part of her basically she was all tomboy. She was also really mean I think 😭😭😭 not in a mean girl way just in a hardass way. I've definitely softened her over time. I like how her character has progressed tho ^_^ That being said, SOTF Parasol is more reminiscent of her OG self than NC Parasol just because of the situation and stakes. Lol.

Helmet and Pink Jasmine 😭😭😭😭 I think I'm gonna go back and change Helmet's design a bit but the vibe is still the same.
Helmet has lots of sharpness in his design ^_^ I ended up exaggerating his eye shape but I like it a lot tbh. He has uhhh...idfk what they're called I think it's a harness. The straps over his shirt. Like helmet straps ^_^ Scars on his face LOL. I really wanted him to have a uhhhh....sort of semi-casual good boy(?) style but with an edge and roughness to him. Hence why his hairstyle is kind of messy + lots of harsh angles. ......also I really really wanted to avoid having him look like Ph LMAOOO they have similar design elements. Sharp features, dress shirt, sorta similar hairstyle 😭😭😭😭 this is also why I exaggerated the eye shape.
Speaking of Ph. Lol. Okay so ever since I've had Helmet as a character I've always felt he was too similar to Ph 😭😭😭 Both of them are hats and actually have a blue/black color scheme (at least from the last time I colored Helmet). Both of them are hardasses but generally mean well and can be soft if you take the time to know them (actually this is true abt og Helmet. Maybe not so much anymore). But as I've changed my characterization and understanding of both of them I've realized they are actually Really Different. They're similar on the surface but that's really it.
For one Helmet does Not trust authority figures LMFAO. He has a lot of paranoia to him I think in the sense that he doesn't trust anyone other than himself to keep him/people close to him safe. He has a lot of anger and trauma which comes out as aggression and uncooperativeness and for a good portion of the story he doesn't trust Anyone on the island 😭😭 I think he had a troublesome childhood (abusive household and/or didn't grow up in a good area) or smthn and The Incident just made him worse 😞😞 jesus christ man NEVER LET ME MAKE OCS I WILL FUCK THEIR SHIT UP SO BAD 😭😭😭😭😭
Btw The Incident is him and PJ getting kidnapped for uh. Reasons? Either trafficking (which is WILD lore for an object show OC) or a long-lasting hostage situation. The reason why it happened was very impersonal bc Helmet and PJ didn't know each other before The Incident and both of them are completely nornal people. Also since both of them have trauma related to abuction, waking up on a deserted islsnd with a bunch of strangers and no memory of how they got there or why is 😬😬😬 not great.
For PJ I purposefully designed her to have as much opposite shape language to Helmet as possible (also just bc their personalities are so radically different). Downturned eyes and soft features. She has a floral turtleneck ^_^ dyk pink jasmines are native to China and Myanmar. So she's probably from one of those two. She also has long dark hair but doesn't cut it bc the idea of cutting her hair or even tying it up makes her feel unsafe and exposed 😭😭
