As Dumbledore arrived, there were two still dueling: Sirius Black, and Bellatrix Lestrange. Bellatrix sent a streak of red light toward Sirius, who ducked, then began laughing hysterically.
"Come on, you can do better than that, cousin" he mocked, his voice echoing. Sirius was too busy laughing at his cousin that he didn't notice she'd fired another spell at him. He didn't even realize that someone else was rushing toward him.
"NOOOOO!!!" A disheveled voice yelled and right as the spell was about to his Sirius, he was quickly pushed out of the way. A pained grunt was heard and Harry turned to see what had happened. His eyes widened when he saw the figure.
Sirius recovered and he looked at who'd saved him. It was Peter Pettigrew, or as he was known now.
"...Wormtail?!?!" Sirius exclaimed. Wormtail slowly began to lose his footing. As he slipped he managed to mutter a groggy "Mishchief Mana-" before his silvered hand strangled him as he fell through the veil, never to return. Sirius' eyes began to water, remembering all the time he'd spent with Peter, the good times before.... "Peter, no...." Sirius muttered softly. His hands began to shake. He started breathing heavily.
Remus, who's also witnessed this was shocked himself. He noticed Sirius and rushed to hold him back from doing something reckless. "Sirius, Sirius, NO!!. He betrayed us, he..." Remus pleaded, but even his eyes began to fill with tears. Sirius managed to pry himself from Remus's grip, and turned back to Bellatrix, fury in his eyes. Bellatrix fired a Spell at Sirius, but he countered with a spell of his own. He then angrily began firing off spell after spell, Remus joining in a few seconds later. Eventually the two began to overpower Bellatrix But were interrupted by Dumbledore. "You two get everyone out, I'll deal with them." The two nod and began to rush towards Harry and the others.
"...Remus, he-" "I know, Sirius. I know." Remus says.
(Assume everything that happened in canon other than Sirius dying happened. I can't really write duels that well.)
