Finally, A Real Date

"Artemis! Are you okay? Are you hurt?" She yelled back, looking over me.

"I'm going to be fine Dinah, Wally saved me."

"That kid is something else." She smiled. "You two will make a great couple one day."

"What?" I asked like she knew he asked me out.

"Wally turned on his intercom again when he went to change. He told me everything."

"Darn."

"Don't worry, Jay is in a lot of trouble. The police are after him, I promise. Nothing like that is ever going to happen again."

Dinah came in and gave me a hug. "Thanks Dinah." I said. I let go of the hug. " I'm gonna go change, then I'm going down to the cave." I checked the time, only noon.

I went up to my bedroom and changed into my usual outfit. Skinny jeans, green tank top, brown leather jacket, and some heeled boots. I'd change into something nicer when my date with Wally comes closer. I went down to the cave. There Robin, Aqualad, Zee, M'gann, and Superboy crowed around me. "Wally told us everything." Robin said.

My heart raced. "He did?"

"Yeah! Are you okay?" M'gann yelled.

"Yeah, fine. I'm fine." I gritted my teeth.

"I know how your dad is, something like that is dramatic." Robin came up to me and rubbed my back. I calmed down, knowing Wally told them a lie, to save my life. Thank you Wally.

"Yeah, he can be a real pain."

"What exactly went down?" Superboy cut in.

"I think that's probably enough questions for now, don't you think so babe?" Wally came in and put his around me.

"Wow, looks like something went on between you guys." Zatanna spit. "Artemis, is there something you haven't told me?"

"Wh-? No, there is nothing going on between me and Wally. I mean he is so-"

"So amazing." Wally quickly cut me off.

"That is not what I was going to say!"

"Is too, I know it was." He laughed along with everyone else.

"Okay, fine, there might be something." I told everyone.

"Ooo, come on KF, get out!" Robin yelled, lightly punching him in the shoulder.

"What is going on between you two?" M'gann jumped up and down.

"Spill the beans." Zatanna went along with everyone.

"Well, uh..." I began to speak.

"We're dating. So what? Need anything else while I'm telling secrets?" Wally spilled.

"Yeah, who's eating all the cookies? And who keeps going into my room?" Robin started to laugh.

"Not me." Wally jumped, feeling the blame was being put on him.

Everyone laughed.

Artemis P.O.V.

I was up in my room at Ollie's house with M'gann and Zee, they are trying to help me find a 'cute' outfit to wear for my date with Wally. I don't see why I can't jut wear pants and a T-shirt. Well, I guess this being my first official date, I should dress nice. They laid out a dress on my bed. It was my favorite dress. It was a light green color. It was to my knees, sleeveless, and had a belt around the waist.

"What about this, M'gann? I love the color." Zee finally spoke after giving the dress a questioning look.

"Omg! It is perfect!" M'gann yelled. "Now for some heels, a makeover and a hair do."

"Heels? Hair do? No way." I took a few steps back. "You're lucky I'm getting in a dress!"

"Come on please!" Zee begged.

"Er... Fine." I stated after a while.

"Yay!" The two said at the same time.

Zee pulled out her wand. I went to the bathroom and changed into the dress. She mumbled some words and instantly my hair and make up were getting done. I took a mirror to look at the final result and omg, why? I didn't look like my normal self! It looked like a flower was in my hair! -as seen above- "What did you do to my hair!?" I yelled at Zee.

"Come on! You look great! Wally will love it!" M'gann yelled back cheerfully.

"Fine, I'll stay with it." I said, after a minute.

There was a loud knock on the door, then Ollie yelled up the stairs for me. M'gann and Zee were gone in a puff of smoke. I walked down the stairs, balancing my hair on my head. There was Wally, dressed in a nice tux. He even tucked in his shirt! I smiled as I met his eyes, soon moving my head. Breaking the look.

Wally P.O.V.

Looking at Artemis come down those stairs was like a movie. She was gorgeous. Stunning, the way her hair was and that dress.

Ollie stuck out his hand when Artemis met me at the door. I shook his hand. This was the first time Ollie and I have met one on one. "Please take care of my daughter. And have her back at 11. No later. One other thing." Ollie pulled me away from Artey. "Where are you going to take her?"

"I was planing on going to the new fancy restaurant that just opened. Then I was going to take her back here."

"Good, here take this." He handed me a $50.

"I couldn't take this," I whisper-yelled.

"Just trust me." He tucked it into my shirt pocket. Then he let me go stand next to Artemis. Dinah came over and asked for a few questions, then took like 100.

When we finally left, I went out to my car and helped Artemis in. "Thank you." She smiled.

"Welcome," I got in on the drivers side.

"Where are we going anyway?"

"Remember when you wanted to go to that new restaurant?"

"No way!"

"Oh, yes way!" We kept quiet for a while. Then I got to the place. "I forgot to tell you earlier that you look great." I smiled. I walked in and the man seated us, after all I've been holding a reservation since 7 this morning.

We sat down and ordered some food. When the food came, I heard a loud crash. Coming from the kitchen. Artemis gave me a weird look. "You want me to check it out, don't you?" I sighed. "Of course you do." I joked as she laughed.

I used my superspeed to check out the kitchen. I heard a girl scream. Artemis! I ran back to our table. All I saw was a Artemis in the grips of a man. He was dressed in all black, he face was covered in a small black mask, it kinda looked like Robin's. He jumped off the table, out the door and... That's when I got hit. I don't remember anything.

Artemis P.O.V.

"You think I'm just going to let you get away that easy?" I heard a man say. I was blindfolded after he got out of the restaurant. The last thing I saw was a man hit Wally on the head.
