Chapter 1 The Fire

It was a bright and sunny day in Ninjago. The birds were chirping on this morning, and I was training outside in the courtyard. The rays of sunshine shined on my body while I was practicing. This would be the first, and last time I would feel this relaxed. I was so in the moment, I wouldn't realize someone was watching me. "Well Kai, this is the first time I've seen you this relaxed." I quickly spun around, not noticing he was there. "Oh, Master Wu. I didnt notice you there." he made a hand gesture for me to come over, so I came. "How have you been?" master Wu said to me. "Well, I've been okay.. I guess. "I see.." he said, "well I came to tell you Zane has made breakfast. And today will be a lot of training so you'll need it." he then left. "I then felt I really weird feeling in my gut, knowing that something was wrong, I ignored it. I now know I should always trust my gut. 

Chapter 1a

While I was sleeping, I heard the birds chirping outside. I started groaning because I did not want to wake up, but it was too late. I then heard someone in the courtyard, Kai. I was going to go to him, but I then stopped, when Master Wu went to him. I was about follow also but smelled pancakes, bacon, and eggs. I instantly went to the smell and was about to grab a piece and run, until I was blocked by Pixal. "And what do you think you're doing Cole?" 'Darn it' I thought to myself. "Uhhhh." I was trying to think of a way to lie, but was miraculously saved by Kai. "Oh hey Cole, hey Pixal. What's goin' on?" for some reason I couln't speak, so Pixal spoke for me. "Me and Cole are doing fine, well, before he tried taking food to his room." how did she- anyways, Kai chuckles at me, but then says, "Oh Cole, I didnt know you were this hungry!" I then blush hearing his laugh. I could hear it all day. His smile, his face, his body; I could look at it until I died. He then slaps me, which takes me off my day dream. "Oww, that hurt!" "sorry! You were out for a pretty long time." Kai then said, "Anyway, I'm not really that hungry, so I'll be going to Chens noodle house to meet Skylor." I then glared at him, he still likes Skylor? I thought he was over her. I was also sad, I wanted him to be with me, not Skylor! but there's nothing I could do about it.. unless.. "Uhh so Kai," I said, "can I come with? I know you might say no but-" Kai interrupts me. "of course! in fact, I was just about to ask you!" I put my hand behind my neck. "oh uh, oh." was all I could say. "okay.." he then grabs my wrist, and we make our way to hangar bay.

Chapter 1b

The fire was starting to spread. I try to run through the rubble, but it was no use. The whole city was in flames. Luckily, the people evacuated before the fire started. or so they thought.. I tried screaming for help, but no one was heard or seen. 'This is the end.' I thought. I knew I was vulnerable to fire, but I don't think i'll be able to survive this. The smoke enters my body, and I start coughing hysterically. I then yell one last time. "anyone! please.." I start to heat up and my body feels weak. "goodbye.." I then fall into a "deep sleep", never to wake up..

While the fire starts to die down, the firefighters spray the remaining fires on the streets. The place was a mess, everything the fire touched was black, grey, and brown. "this is gonna take a long time to clean up." Lloyd remarks, "also, has anyone seen Kai?" "uhh no?" Nya says, and starts getting worried, "what if he didn't.."  Jay then says, "Don't worry Nya! He probably evacuated just like the rest of us-" We then hear a screech of terror. the lady was horrified at what she was seeing. we turn to her, and we were horrified as well. Kai's body (which was not alive DUHH), was burnt to a crisp, only showing the outlines of the ashes of his body engraved on the concrete. "OH MY GOSH KAII!" Nya screams in terror. "NOO KAI NO you can't be dead.. please.." Nya cries on the sight of Kai's burnt body. nothing could bring him back alive again. We were all shocked, with tears streaming down our cheeks. He was actually.. gone..
