You stood in the middle of your apartment. This was going to take time to get used too.. It was way too quiet. You swore if someone were to drop a feather you'd hear it. As crazy as that sounds. You already missed the waves, the birds, The laughs. Everything in this place felt wrong.

You felt wrong. Your mind felt wrong. Your head had been lowered most of the time you've been here, in thought. You glanced to the side at the unpacked boxes. Your head finally tilted up.

Unlucky to you there was a mirror right in front of you. Your breathing quickened when you saw a small little bit of blood coming from your mouth. Damn scars! You thought they had healed already.

With a quick movement you wiped it away. Your eyes locked onto your sleeve that now had the blood on it. You ripped the shirt off of you in a panic and threw it into the fireplace. You stood there in your bra and tried to calm down your racing heart. You couldn't stand the sight of blood anymore.. that much you knew.

You watched as the fire quickly ate the shirt. You sighed and flopped onto the couch. "Damn it.." You whispered and rubbed your face. "That night is haunting me..." You mumbled.

With another quick sigh you sat up and looked out at the warm streets of Dressrosa. Your eyes softened just a tad. You got up and opened the curtains.

The sunlight shined in, making everything just a bit happier. You started to unpack the few objects that you actually owned. Even if you were the captain of your old crew, you weren't one to buy a lot. Most of it had been destroyed anyhow.

Only a few boxes, some with clothes, Others with weapons, and then your treasures of course. You found a shirt and put it on. You finished unpacking in just a few minutes. That took your mind off things for a bit.

You smiled and sat back down. It felt a little bit more like a home now. Your eyes locked onto the gold you stole and found over the years. You were going to have side jobs, though the gold would last for a while.

Bang!

Your heart almost flew out of your chest. It started racing as you quickly ran over to the window, but you paused. "It could have just been a normal person.. just firing guns.." You mumbled. "Not the marines..." You trailed off and gulped.

Your eyes scanned the area, nothing happened in the main street, but it seems like you weren't the only one that jumped at the loud noise. People were looking around before going back to walking. You looked back at your own gun and grabbed it. You put it into its hoister and opened your door.

There was a young couple at the bottom of your stairs. "Either of you know what that was?.." You asked looking around. The young woman looked up at you and smiled.

"Aw! You must be new here! What you heard was one of the toy soldier's guns!" She said cheerfully. "They might sound real, but they aren't." She added on and they skipped away happily.

You paused and looked at the toys in the crowd. They were cute. "Thank you!" You called out to the couple.

It was actually a bit reassuring to see everyone happy. Your smile got bigger, and you closed the door to your house and locked it. You started to walk through the crowded streets of Dressrosa, but once you got a few stares, you quickly stopped smiling. Stupid knife scars.. They were all over your mouth, and they kept breaking open.

The toys walked up alongside you. You smiled softly but made sure not to smile too big. In case they broke open again.

It was so peaceful here.. You kept walking till you saw what looked to be a pirate. They must be one of those Donquixote pirates everyone here has been talking about. It was a girl. Black hair with what looked to be a maid dress.
