Sophie's POV
Friday
I open my eyes and sit up to look around the room I'm in to realize I'm in my best friend Izzies room, " and as soon as I get out of the bed I'm hit with an intense migraine making me stumble back onto the bed.
"Oh good you're up" I hear Izzie say from the doorway, Izzie walks over to me and hands me a pill and a glass of water "here take this it'll help with the migraine" Izzie says in an annoyed tone.
I throw the pill in my mouth and chug the water to get it down, "what happened last night" I ask her in a low tone "we went to the club you got super drunk I met this guy and when I found you, you were dancing with this girl who~" Izzie stops talking and starts looking at me with a devious look on her face.
"What why are you looking at me like that" I ask her with a straight face "you don't remember who you were dancing with do you" Izzie asks me as a grin starts to form on her face "I mean not really why was it one of my exes" I ask her hoping it wasn't.
"I'm just joking I don't know who you were dancing the it was too dark to see" Izzie says letting out a small chuckle "that was not funny" I say angrily "it was a little funny" Izzie says as she gets up from the bed leaving the room.
Alex's POV
"Mom I told you already I was at Cameron's house" I tell her with an annoyed tone "Alex stop lying, Diaz told me he saw you at a club with your little friends" she says angrily "wait you had someone follow me, unfucking believable" I say in a low tone.
"Hey what have I told you about cussing in my house, you can do that at your house and anywhere else but not in my house" she says while pointing her finger at me angrily, "ok I'm sorry" I tell her with a hint of sarcasm in my voice.
"Now do you remember when we talked about getting you an assistant" she tells me as she walks into the living room to sit on the couch and I follow after her "what no we never talked about that plus I've already got an assistant Eli remember" I say quickly.
"No you don't have Eli I fired him because he was a bad influence and was involved with drugs and I don't need you doing that" she tells me sternly "ok so who's my new assistant and what's their name" I ask her quickly "well I don't know yet but Diaz is helping me find someone with a good background and that you'll get along with but by sunday you'll have a new assistant" she tells me the a small smile on her face.
"Ok well as soon as you get their name and stuff remember to tell me mom anyways I've gotta drop by the office so I'll come by again later today" I tell her as I stand up "hey who's the mom here me or you" my mom says "you" I say quickly "exactly so don't go trying to tell me what to do" she tells me as she nudges me.
"Ok I'll see you later ok hun" she says as she walks me to the front door giving me a hug before I leave.
Narrator POV
Sophie and Izzie are at Walmart shopping for snacks to restock Izzie's kitchen, as Sophie pushes the basket she's so focused on her phone that she doesn't see Izzie and hits her with a basket "hey what the hell man" Izzie
says with an angry look painted across her face.
"Shit sorry Izzie" Sophie says with an awkward smile "oh I meant to ask how'd that interview go last week" Izzie asks with her voice full of curiosity "um I think it went well" Sophie says nervously "what do you mean you think it went well" Izzie asks with a puzzled look on her face.
"I mean I don't know, the guy said he'd contact me if I got the job plus when he interviewed other people I rarely heard him say that" Sophie tells her truthfully "hmm ok...hey captain crunch or cheerios" Izzie asks holding up two boxes of cereal and shaking them lightly "captain crunch obviously" Sophie says with a small smile on her face.
~Bzz Sophie grabs her phone out of the basket before quickly answering the call "hello is Sophie Mcallester" the voice on the other end of the phone says "um yes this is her" Sophie says nervously due to the anticipation of knowing if she's gotten the job or not.
"I've called to inform you that next monday you will start working bu~" but before the voice on the other end of the phone can finish Sophie starts again "wait so I got the job" Sophie asks excitedly "let me finish please" the voice says softly "oh sorry go ahead" Sophie tells the voice in a low tone.
"But you'll only work for that one week and we'll see how well you do and if you get along with Ms. Woods~" wait did he just say woods like Alex woods no way it can't be her Sophie thought to herself and as Sophie is lost in her thoughts the voice notices her silence.
"Um ma'am are you still there...ma'am" "oh yea sorry you were saying" Sophie says to the voice nervously "oh yes be at the office at nine o'clock everyday when you come in Monday someone will help you with the schedule and what else you will do for the company, now see you Monday" the voice says before hanging up the phone.
"Who the hell was that" Izzie asks her with a look of curiosity on her face "oh it was the guy that interview me" Sophie tells her still wondering about when the man said Ms. Woods, "oh did you get the job" Izzie asks her with a small smile.
"Um technically not yet the guy said I'm supposed to come in and work the entire next week and they'd see how well I get along with the person I'm supposed to be an assistant for and how well I do other things for the company" Sophie says anxiously.
"Oh well that's good I guess" Izzie says with a sort of confused look on her face, "any way let's get some gushers and chips I ran out again because of you and Tyler" Izzie says in an annoyed tone.
"Hey Tyler ate most of them" Sophie says as she throws her hands up in defense, "oh yea sure he did" Izzie says sarcastically as she turns around making a face at Sophie.
