Nothing is as it seems

I have been going to this school for about 8 months now and the end of the year is coming soon, which means the selection will happen.

Right about now is when everyone is wondering which side will want them and which side they actually want to go to. Obviously most hope to end up with their family but others want a change.

I am only here because my grandfather works here and my parents are dead and he couldn't leave the school so I'm one of the couple of humans in this school.

No one likes me and I don't like anyone. I have kept to myself all my life and that's how it is now. After school I go and train in the woods everyday in my special spot where I know I wont get discovered.

I have many powers and I can duplicate anyone's power if I just try, it is not hard at all. I am a shape shifter, vampire and I can be anything else I want to. I could even be a fairy if I honestly wanted to.

Well anyways I'm sitting in my last class and everyone is about to head home. You can either live on campus or in your own homes. My parents were filthy stinking rich and I didn't even know what they did for a living, I hardly even knew them.

Before I knew it the bell rang for class to end and I gathered up my books and bag and started walking out of class. The school intercom turned on and the principle started talking, "Students, before leaving we need everyone to meet in the auditorium. The kings of both sides are here and would like to get an early look at the students we have to present to them.".

Everyone got all excited and you could here murmuring all through the hallways and lockers being slammed and everyone walking the same direction, some faster than others.

I got shoved around and so I would shove them back. I may be quiet but everyone knows not to mess with me because in regular fighting I could kick any of their asses and the students are not allowed to use their powers unless they are instructed to.

Mostly they stayed out of my way. I got into the auditorium and looked for a spot to sit, unfortunately the only spot left was right next to the slutty girls who were trying to get all over the 'hot' guys in our school. I had to walk up a few bleachers to get there but it was right in the middle and like the third seat up.

Everyone thinks that they know exactly how each of the kings sides are and they have no clue. I have learned a lot when I was on my own until they made me move in with my grandfather, like the dark/ evil side isn't actually bad, they take care of their people and get their best people to help everyone learn their powers so they wont hurt anybody unintentionally and they have homes and food for everyone. The light /good side, well the king, queen and their son are all horrible people who do not care about their people and they take their people with the worst powers and punish anyone who tries to steel food or if they break any of their strict rules.

No one really knows how either kingdom is until they go there and have to stay there. I have been around the world and have snuck into the kingdoms using my powers to see how they really are, and I have to say that I would try and save everyone that is in the light kingdom. The kingdoms have names but they don't tell anyone until they enter the kingdom. I have no idea why but they is just how they have always been since the beginning.

The principle stood up and said some words I couldn't really hear because the guys sitting next to me were insulting me and the girls were laughing their asses off. The principle started to get annoyed when they wouldn't shut up but he couldn't really say anything to them because their parents were high up in the kingdoms.

The principle kept getting interrupted every time he tried to talk and the kings that were there were getting annoyed because he wouldn't get them to be quiet. 

I finally looked at them and let my anger roll out and said," I swear if you do not let Principle McFarland finish what he is saying I will personally make sure I will break your nose or your jaw and make sure you cant talk for weeks." They all looked at me and stood up. Everyone in the auditorium were watching us now.

The main guy got in my face and said to me," You think you scare me you freak? You have no friends and no one to help you fight us and you aren't even important to anyone so why don't you just go die in a hole, no one would even care anyways. No body likes you so just leave." I smiled and just replied, "You really think I need any friends to help hurt you? All I want is for you to shut your STD infested mouth so I can hear what they are saying so I can leave and go home. Do you really think that I care what is going on? Like you said I'm not important so why even waste your time on me? Just sit the fuck down and shut the hell up."

That's when he made the wrong move and threw his fist back to bring it into my face. He threw his fist at me with all the force he had and I moved my head and chest back and he missed by half an inch and the momentum of his body made him off balance and I game him a little push and he fell down onto the next stand. His friends got pissed and all tried to attack me and I dodged everything and hit them in their pressure points and they just all started going down.

I moved faster than I should have, and when I was done and they were all down I started walking down the steps and I was going to walk out and before I did I made contact with the principle and nodded my head at him and I didn't even look at the light kingdom side. I made eye contact with the dark kingdom king and I made my eyes switch from their light green to my original golden color with a bunch of different colors inside the gold.

He nodded his head at me and my eyes were only that color for 2 seconds then changed back. I was about to walk out the doors when a loud and commanding voice yelled out, "Wait!" .
