TWO YEARS AND SIX MONTHS AGO
"Emily I don't know what you want me to do here." Aaron sighed. Him and Emily had been arguing for the past week because she told him she got a job offer to run the office in London for Interpol. "Aaron I just want you to be happy for me is that so hard to ask for?!" Emily yelled. The fighting was a constant no matter if they were on a case, at home, in the bullpen, or even in Aaron's office.
"Think about the team here Emily. We just got you back when you went a faked your own damn death!" Aaron screamed. Emily took a step back and was trying so hard to hold in her tears. "Really! I woke up on the god damn plane and had no choice but to listen to YOU and JJ tell me that you told the team I died and that I now had to go into hiding. You chose for me to fake my own death when I was literally dying Aaron I had no say in that. So don't you dare try and make me feel guilty for that!"
Emily grabbed her purse and keys and walked out the door slamming it behind her. She didn't know where she was going but she didn't care, she just needed to be away from Aaron. Back in the house Aaron started throwing things and smashing them to the ground before he called Rossi.
"Hello...? Aaron it's 2 in the morning what's wrong?" Rossi asked. "She left. I can't fix us Rossi. I tried and I just can't." Aaron cried back. "Hold on what happened Aaron?"
"You dumb son of a bitch Aaron!" Rossi barked at Aaron after he explained what had just happened. "You tried to guilt her by bringing up the faking of her death that was for her safety that YOU fucking set up!" Rossi was furious. "I know I know but she left and I've texted her 20 times and she's not answering and her location won't update" Aaron said.
"I'll call her but don't text her for the rest of the night, okay? Let her breathe." Rossi said.
Rossi called Emily minutes later. "Heyyyyy Rossi!!!" Emily yelled into the phone. Rossi could hear many people in the background and loud music. She was at the bar. "Emily what bar are you at I'm on my way." Rossi hung up the phone and went to go get Emily.
Emily spent the night at Rossi's mansion that night but they were both awaken at 5 am from a call from Penelope saying they had a case and it was bad.
Emily told Rossi on the car way to the BAU that this would be her last case and that Aaron has no idea. He knew she shouldn't be doing it like this but there was no convincing her.
After having a seat in the round table room, Penelope told them about the case. "In Thomaston, Georgia the body of 23 year-old Stacy Evans was found in the creek of a river in the small town. When police arrived on scene they canvased the area. That's when they found the body of 25 year-old Macy Smith, the body of 23 year-old Katie Bryce, and the body of 24 year-old Blakely Wright." Penelope told the team. "Well clearly this unsub has a type. All brunette's and are all around the same age." Morgan stated.
JJ was staring at the photos of the victims and couldn't get the unsettling feeling out of her. All the victims had a scary resemblance to Emily. She wasn't the only who also saw this. Almost everyone did. The only person who didn't was Emily.
"Why are y'all all looking at me like that?" Emily questioned. "Well the victims look exactly like you it's unsettling." JJ said. "You know it's already rare enough to find a one doppelgänger but to have 4 is extremely rare it's kind of fascinating..." Reid was saying before feeling all eyes glaring at him. "Wait all the bodies are positioned in a unique way and are also in a creek..." Morgan was explaining. "What are you trying to say Morgan?" Aaron asked. "It's almost exactly like the 'Green River Killings'." Morgan said quietly. Everyone jaws slightly opened. "Wheels up in 10!" Aaron yelled.
"Emily can we please talk?" Aaron said grabbing Emily before she could leave the room. "I'm not doing this right now specially in-front of the team." Emily said as she saw everyone glance over at the couple.
