Backstory:
You and Harry are both 6th years, cedric is in 7th. for the sake of the story, the Triwizard tournament happens annually, but this year is the 1 in every 7 that it happens at hogwarts. Cedric is Harry's best friend, and you've had a crush on him since you met. Harry knows, but you never actually told him.
Harry lives with the Dursleys every summer, while you live with your godfather, Remus Lupin.
The only way you survived that night your parents were killed was because Voldemort went for Harry first, and was much too weak to try to get to you. When Dumbledore gave Harry to the Dursley's, Mcgonagall gave you to Remus, since he was your godfather. Because Harry was so well-known, he lived in the muggle world for his own safety. Until your third year, you pretended to be Remus's daughter, for your safety.

*It's your first day back at Hogwarts after a summer away. You're going into your sixth year. You wake up to a text from Cedric, who you've had a crush on for years now. But, he's your brothers best friend, so isn't he off limits?*

You throw your hair into a messy bun right as he knocks on the door and you open it.
"Ced!"
You say, and hug him. He chuckles and hugs you back, the familiar way that you love. You've missed the way he looks, the way he smells, the way he feels. You get lost in the moment and then eventually break the hug.
"Hi, Livy, I missed you!" he says.
"I missed you too!"
"Where do you want to go?"
"Wherever, somewhere quiet."
"Agreed."

You both go down to the courtyard and it's suprisingly quiet.
"So how's everything been with you?" you ask. "Pretty good, you?"
"It's been okay. It's been pretty hard since Sirius... you know."
"Oh, yeah, of course. I'm so sorry." he lightly rubs your back as you speak again, which is comforting.
"Its alright. I feel horrible that Harry's stuck with my aunt, and I get to live with Remus."
"That is really unfair."
"I know. I barely even get to see my own brother anymore. I miss him."
"You should go see him now, you're both finally back home, you know."
"Yeah, you're right."
"You wanna go back up?"
"No, it's alright. I wanna stay with you a little longer."
"Well, are you at least glad to be back at hogwarts?"
"Of course I am. it's my home. But with everything going on, I can't stop worrying about Remus."
"I know, love, but you have to trust that he'll be alright."
Your stomach flips at the nickname, just like every time he's called you love.
"You're probably right."
"Come on, I know you need your brother right now." he says, and stands up. You take his hand as you get up and you both go into the great hall.

It's incredibly refreshing to be in the great hall again, the feeling of being home washes over you and your worries melt away for a while. A huge grin spreads across your face as you see Harry and you run to him, and he hugs you.
"Hey, Jame, I missed you!" (Jame is your nickname for Harry, as his middle name is James.)
"I missed you too, Lil! How've you been?" (just like how you call him James, he calls you by your middle name, Lily, or sometimes Lil.) "Decent, how are you?"
"I'm alright. Have you seen Cedric?"
"Yeah! I saw him this morning, do you know where Mione is?"
"Yeah, I just saw her, I think she's over there with Daphne and Ginny."
*Daphne Eastwood is a made up character, she's your dorm mate and one of your closest friends* "Alright, thanks! I'll be back." you say.
"Alright- hey, Ced!" Harry says, walking off to talk to Cedric as you go to talk to Daphne and Ginny.

You go see them, and Hermione joins you all. You catch up, until dinner officially starts and Dumbledore starts speaking.
"Via! Hi gorgeous, I missed you!" Daphne says, hugging you.
"Aw, I missed you, too!"
"How were your summers?" Hermione asks. "Good, you?" Ginny replies.
"Good!"
"Ugh, I'm so glad to be back."
"Me too," you reply.
"ATTENTION. would all students please take their seats as our feast begins?" Dumbledore suddenly says. He gives his typical beginning-of-year speech and then brings up the Triwizard Tournament.
"Jeez, eternal glory? Must be nice." Ron says
"What do you think, Freddie?" George says to his brother.
"I think yes, mate." Fred replies.
"You guys be careful, Dumbledore said people die in this tournament. Don't take it lightly." you say.
"Yeah, alright." they both say.
"Cedric, you in on this?" Fred says to him.
"Of course he isn't-" you say, and look at him. He looks at you as he responds.
"Actually, I was thinking maybe..."
