If you asked Richard or Emily Gilmore they would tell you that Lorelai ruined her life when she got pregnant. She ruined her future. She ruined her name. And she ruined their relationship when she ran away.
Lorelai would disagree. Getting pregnant with twins didn't ruin her future, it just changed her opportunities. And it gave her an out. Sure raising two kids at the age of 16 wasn't ideal but she made it work. Lorelai made a life for herself and her girls in a small town called Stars Hallow. Her daughters were her entire world, her mini best friends and nothing would ever change or make her regret her decision to keep them.
Lorelai Leigh Gilmore came first. Named after her mother when nothing else came to mind. Lorelai jr. would go by Rory. Rory had her mothers eyes and quick wits. If you asked the other two Gilmores they'd tell you that Rory was an adult by the time she turned 10. She was the most 'mature' of the three. She was well read, soft spoken and an introvert. She was a caffeine addict- a trait that made her mother proud, avid reader, aspiring journalist and debate champion. She was Lorelai's best friend.
Kristina Victoria Gilmore came 11 minutes and 48 seconds after. Kris was named after her father but given the same spelling as lovely nurse that helped Lorelai through the twins' birth, and shared a middle name with her mother. Kristina had her father's eyes but her mother's hair colour and personality. Which in her opinion was better. Kris was a ray of sunshine. All smiles, jokes, good natured laughs and polite words when needed. The youngest Gilmore was a proud caffeine addict, baker, alented artist, and an even better friend.
