Twisted Ichor

Chapter 1 (Sprouts pov)

I wake up in a dark room, disoriented and with a headache. Where am I? I try to move around, but I seem to be tied down.

"Hello? Connie, is this one of your pranks?!" I call out into the darkness, but there is no answer. I look around the room, nothing. It seems to go on forever, the darkness hiding the walls so I can't tell how big the room really is.

I sit in silence for a few moments letting my eyes adjust to the dark, I look around again, this time I can see the room in its entirety. It's a relatively small room with a single small table in one of the corners. I look down at myself. My eyes widen as I see I'm tied to an operating table. I struggle against the straps holding me down, my heart starts racing and my breathing becomes faster.

After a couple of tugs at the restraints one breaks,letting one of my hands free. I use it to undo my other hand before undoing my legs as well.

I sit on the edge of the operating table scanning the room once more,I get up and walk over to the small table noticing there are items laying on it. As i get closer i notice the items are my personal effects such as my scarf,my bracelet (thank goodness) and my Speedy Shoes, I grab my scarf, bracelet and shoes, putting them on.

I look along the walls for any doors or vents. I spot a metal door along one of the walls,I walk over to it and try to open it. Locked. I should've guessed.

I start to turn to look some more when something shiny catches my eye, I look at the visual disturbance and see a key on the ground, how convenient. I pick it up and try it in the lock,sure enough it works.

I push open the door with a little hesitance before peeking my head out into the corridor. Seeing nothing I step out into the dimly lit hallway looking up and down the space.

I can't help noticing the hallway was a bit weird, there are light pink walls and a rainbow ribbon that runs along the wall.

There are five doors. Next to my door I see a nameplate that reads "Sprout Seedley- experiment 003" Experiment? Why does it say that? I think to myself before I walk across the hallway to the nearest door reading the nameplate.

"Vee V1 Experiment 004".

I continue down reading the nameplate at the last door.

"Astro Novalite Experiment 005"

I walk a couple more steps before I reach a door at the end of the hallway. I grab the handle, waiting a few moments before opening the door and stepping through.

I step into another hallway, I walk past five more doors reading the nameplates as I pass.

Goob
Glisten
Gigi
and Flutter

I walk to the end of the hallway to an identical door to before, I open it and step into yet another hallway. This hallway is way longer than the previous hallway, much longer.

I walk down the last hallway only glancing at the names. I stop as I see a specific name, Cosmo.

I try to open the door but it's locked why did I think it wouldn't be?

I accept defeat and turn to continue walking before a thought popped into my mind.

I spin back around to the door and grab the key I found in my room out of my pocket, I try it on the lock and it works.

Relief is all I feel as I quickly open the door.
