"Oh dear, oh dear..." Winnie-the-Pooh worried as he walked around. Where was he? He had absolutely no idea. One moment, he was happily eating some honey from a pot he found, and the next, he was already here. Now he was lost, and still very hungry.

"Yes, I am quite hungry," he murmured, placing a fuzzy yellow paw to his chin. "I should look for some honey."

So he walked then, looking for some sweet honey.

—

Darkness. She was surrounded by darkness. Suffocating in its presence, filling her with a great sense of loss — it was a sensation Shadowheart wholeheartedly accepted, no matter how despaired it made her feel.

But then, she felt a small pat on her shoulder. It was gentle. Soft. Barely any force was placed into it, as if whoever it was, was afraid of hurting her. She felt another pat. She opened her eyes and raised her head.

"I—oof."

Because she moved her head, Winnie-the-Pooh, who was in the process of giving her another pat on the shoulder, proceeded to pat her on the face instead.

They both were a little shocked, and not knowing what to do, the little bear kept his paw on her face.

...It was soft, Shadowheart thought. Fluffy, and fuzzy, and it smelled faintly of honey too.

"I'm sorry." Winnie moved his paw away. Somehow she was the one who felt bad.

She took a moment to have a proper look at him.

Was... was that a bear? Nevermind that it talked, but it was a yellow bear. A very yellow bear, not of gold, but the brightest of yellows. A very short bear, not even half her height.

...A very cute bear.

She shook her head, scolding herself for getting distracted.

"I will help you up." Winnie said, and held out both his paws.

She placed her hand in his paws, and she watched as he pulled, and pulled, and pulled. Go on, little bear, you can do it. But no matter how much he tried, he couldn't move her, not even an inch. He was getting out of breath. She concluded he wasn't very strong at all.

But his paws held her hand tightly. Well, as tight as he could. It all felt like a fluffy stuffed toy pressed against her skin.

When he pulled again, she used her strength to pull herself up, and she felt a smile tug on her lips as he gave a small hooray. The little bear raised both his arms, and Shadowheart felt the inexplicable urge to pick him up.

And, oh, oh, she was already picking him up. Her arms were wrapped securely around him. She hugged him, squeezed him, feeling the plushness, the softness, the fluffiness of his smol bear body.

She buried her face in his stomach, and inhaled deeply. She laughed, not caring anymore, and hugged him even tighter.

"Oh!" The little bear exclaimed, placing his paws on her head. "I am Winnie-the-Pooh! And you are?"

She smiled. "I'm Shadowheart."
